I never knew Ken was black until now.

This means that there is a probability of being related. If they had been of different races, I would say no way.

We know Kenneth was born in Cincinatti, but I can't get any information on Maurice's birthplace.

Coincidentally, I am related to the Blackwell family, which was a very prominent Southern family that owned slaves, based out of Tennessee (I'm not 100 percent sure of the state, though, but they were in that area). Knowing this increases the chance of there being some connection.

17. I asked this question somewhere on DU a long time ago...

...so I'm glad it's getting some attention today. When the latest thing happened in the Maruice case, he was on Headline News every 45 minutes or so, and I noted the resemblance and name then. (I was watching all day because I believe that was the day the Arnebeck case was going to be filed or some other momentous thing that was rumored to be a bombshell was about to happen).

Anyway, I tried for hours, several days in a row, to find out more about Blackwell's family. I know he has a brother, but I've yet to find his brother named. Also, Maurice may not be a brother but a cousin. I've looked on Ancestry.com, even. Thing is, Blackwell is a common name, and John (that's what the J. stands for) is obviously common as well.

I've been toying with the theory that JKB is some sort of operative. I mean, the guy's a Mason, on the CFR, in the Heritage Foundation, been a UN Ambassador, has a vita a mile long, but he's still pretty young for someone so connected. And so connected for someone who is essentially a local politician. You look at lists of names of people in these various organizations, and you recognize most of them until you come to Blackwell's name. Who? Before the election, no one had really ever heard of him.

Somehow, though, he's definitely become one of the "good ol' boys"; the question is, does he have a "handler" or are his actions simply those of someone with strongly conservative beliefs? Was his key position in the 2004 race orchestrated or happenstance?

Somehow, I think Maurice might have something to do with it, too. Operatives seem to run in families. Just a hunch. It's all just a hunch.
