Who else got a call from Anton Chaitkin?

I got a call from the above person today. He started his conversation by asking for either my husband or me and that he noticed that I had signed an online petition to get rid of Bush.

He was very, very chatty and wanted to send me materials. He said that he was the "historian" for La Rouche's magazine.

Just wondering why he called me and if he called anyone else on DU since this is the only place that I have signed an online petition.

name. I don't why he called and talked so long. I asked where he was calling from. He said Leesburg, near DC. But why on earth did he call me?

in HTML format. (I just did). Bearing in mind that the LaRouche gang is beyond doubt cultists, it would be a mistake to assume that they're all deliberate liars. Probably LaRouche and a few of his henchmen are, but the rest are mainly people who are obsessed with something, and have done intensive research. (That might be as fair description of many of us here at DU). Their "contrived" conclusions may be waaaaay off, but their research is well worth mining.

16. I've met his daughter. She's really nice.

Aside from their leader's not having a chance of winning, his daughter (who's name I can't remember) and the others I've seen from that organization seem like very intelligent, well-informed people. They were strong Clinton supporters. But they felt Kucinich was the best of the candidates other than their own. They backed Kerry after he got the nomination. They didn't like Dean.

18. I've communicated some on the Net with Tarpley

--his co-author of _The Unauthorized Biography of George Bush_, the book that can be downloaded at the Site you've listed.

He was very kind to me when my father died.

He's associated with LaRouche, but both Chaitkin and Tarpley have active intellects and their own ideas about things.

Chaitkin also wrote a book called _Treason in America: From Aaron Burr to Averell Harriman_. It has quite detailed appendices about some of the wartime activities of some corporate types (WW2, that is). Cross-referencing between the above two books and Christopher Simpson's, Charles Higham's and Loftus and Aarons's books on WW2 treason, really gives an insight into the Bush family. They were among the groups that was into all that, through a lot of corporate connections.

I knew Tony Chaitkin very well back in the 70s - had dinner at his house a few times.
He is an honest and brilliant researcher and activist.
I last spoke with him a few years ago.

I got right on the phone and talked to him. Actually, we both talked to him. He was VERY chatty and we must have talked for 20 minutes or more. He seemed level headed and very passionate. He was looking to gather more people for the demonstrations in DC on Thursday. I asked how many reps they would have at the Boston rally tomorrow night and he said that he didn't think any would be there since they were concentrating on DC.

I did tell him that I thought Larouche was a wackjob but thanked him for his dedication.

He did not hesitate to call Cheney a nazi and * insane. That made me like him right away!
