Poll question: POLL: Jan 6 in DC or Jan 20 in DC? Which one is Best to attend?

If you can only manage to go to one of the events in DC, which is the BEST ONE to go to? Jan 6th or Jan 20th? Please give reasons and let us know if you are going to be able to make either one.

It is a clear playing field and there is a better chance at getting significant coverage now than in the middle of masses of Bush lovers on the inaugaration. -and there is nothing more important than sowing seeds for future stories on the 20th.

The 6th is much more specific to the Election Fraud issue, and I think a showing of popular support is vital.

Dozens of organizations are planning inauguration protests. There will likely be 10s of thousands of people there.

As far as one individual's presence being important, I would focus on the 6th. Having been in Ohio at the early December protest, I can tell you turnout is really important. We did NOT have enough people that day, a larger presence would have led to more media and more influence. JMHO.

Should his inaguration take place the 20th is definately the best time to go because there will be so many more protesters from around the world there and there will be major news media markets showing pople from around the world that even some US Citizens dont like Bush.

Show your senators that they need to stand up to protest the voting irregularities. If one does, that will focus media attention on the problem. Right now, most people are unaware.

If we just protest the inauguration without supporting the contesting, we'll just appear to be "sore losers". (I think "irate winners" would be a better term.)

The Fahrenheit 911 scene of the 2000 electoral certification made me so sad. I have the opportunity to see that this doesn't happen again.

I feel I can be a force for change on the 6th.

However, the 20th would be too difficult for me. I just couldn't stand to stand in the center of an event in which people were celebrating the evil monkey man. I think I'd hurl a lung.

Can you imagine--the most devoted of Bush's followers--all convened in one place, to cheer their hero. Plus, they'll all be dressed in long, fur coats and gaudy jewelry. They're faces will be plastered with their stepford expressions. Their money, elitism, ignorance, greed and pseudo-intellectual baloney will be showcased in full glory.

I can't be surrounded by a group of people that I want to throttle.

I do support and have tremendous respect for those who do protest on the 20th. You're stomaches are obviously much stronger than mine!

13. January 6th is absolutely essential!

January 20th is the aftermath--presuming that the BushCons succeed at preventing consideration of their legitimacy on January 6. It will be a protest without even the slightest hope of unseating these criminals in the near future, and it will be dominated by BushCon news media bent upon ignoring and marginalizing any dissent.

January 6th, however, is the day on which the true peoples' representatives will stand up and be counted. How can anyone say that supporting them is not the more important item--if you have to choose?

January 6th is the day on which action will occur WITHIN our government, BY our leaders, to challenge the election.

Be there--and if you can, stay over 10 days to help lobby for serious investigation (win or lose on Jan.6), through the 20th, for those protests.
