Hartmann: What the pukes have planned for Thursday
Thom was very astute today. He layed out a proposal as to how he feels the news of Conyers challenge of the steal will be covered up in the media.

The confirmation hearing for Gonzales will probably be staged in a manner that will be particularly embarrasing to Gonzales. Thom says Gonzales will likely get the nod (regardless of taking a public beating), but in the mean time, there will be an uproar in the media. And that will be loud and long enough to obliterate the Conyers story.

DUers are going to need to be very persistant about contacting the media and driving this story into the public conversation if the puke noise machine starts to ignore it.

1. Who is smart enough to morph Gonzalez story back into the election?

2. Hartmann, a seriously smart man. This is what the fascists do to kill
a story. They shoot (But only slightly wound) one of there own to divert and steer the media traffic. Example: Armor plating - Rumsfeld, electon just over. What got diverted? GLibs recount announcement - Coyners, etc. Now, Bush calls on Clinis to join him. Wait for the the GOP's friendy fire on themselves.

Again: This is all Classic Rove 101 stuff.

Read a basic Psychology text - and you'll have Rove pegged.

we just say it to our reps, editors, "No one should allow the timing of the Gonzalez hearings to distract them from the serious questions surrounding the last election. It's unreasonable to consider a Cabinet when the election is still under a cloud."

(And try not to call him Abu Graib Gonzalez?)

12. That's a GREAT point.
If we are fortunate enough to get a senator we'll need to redouble our efforts w. letters and media contacts.
