Where are those graphs that show # of voting machines vs. party in ohio

I'm trying to have an objective discussion with someone who thinks we're all nuts.

I remember a few weeks ago someone had the data on voting machine allocation in OH, and they plotted a graph that showed a correlation between type of the number of voting machines per person and the percentage of Democrats registered.

I think it might have been TIA but I'm not sure. I thought I had it in my bookmarks but I can't find it.

If anyone remembers that or has a link to it please let me know.

Long lines tend to be seen in urban areas where more people vote.
Coincidentally, such areas vote Democratic. Rich Lowry wrote: "William A. Anthony Jr. is an unlikely candidate to help steal an election for President Bush. But that is what he's essentially being accused of by a band of left-wing conspiracy theorists who can't accept the idea that John Kerry lost the state of Ohio--and the election--fair and square. The conspiracy theorists focus on Franklin County, home of the heavily Democratic city of Columbus. They allege, among other things, that long lines there on Election Day were a cagey tactic to keep blacks from voting. It just happens that
Anthony is chairman of the Franklin County Board of Elections and also
chairman of the Franklin County Democratic Party. 'I am a black man,' he told The Columbus Dispatch. 'Why would I sit there and disenfranchise voters in my own community?' Good question."

He has not been accused of any such thing by anyone but GOP spokesfolks. To my knowledge, he is unnamed in any suit or allegation regarding withholding voting machines.

Questions:
How many machines did he receive per capita from Matt Damshroeder?
How many did they use per capita in 2000?
How many did Franklin County use in its' Primary?
How many functioned successfully all day?

All the answers to these questions are on the record, part of the investigation, and the answers are quite interesting. And you don't need to give him those answers. The questions make clear the reality... there's actual accountability going on here.

7. Keep in mind that according to Ohio Election Laws

there is supposed to be one machine for every 200 voters.

Everyone knew that voter registrations were at an all time high and that there was going to be a huge turnout for this election.

If the various counties did not provide enough machines based on their voter registration numbers, then they are in violation of the law, whether they did it deliberately or not. Incompetence is not an excuse for an elected official whose only job is to oversee elections.

Democratic voters in Franklin County were screwed by the voting machine allocation. Whether it was Anthony's fault or not is a detail, a diversion from the main fact.

According to Damschroder, the allocation was not handled by board members but delegated to staff. Therefore, any culpability by Anthony is more likely to be ascribed to being out-of-the-loop.

The board is by law equally bi-partisan, with the SOS ultimately calling the shots.

And exactly right about the SOS calling the shots. If Blackwell gives a directives, aren't the BoE admins obligated to comply? I believe so. And so what can someone like Anthony do or say in a situation like this?
