There's been some back and fort about whether this or that piece of evidence is a smoking gun, but you don't need a smoking gun to justify a full scale investigation or a contest of electors by members of Congress . The question is: are there facts that don't pass the smell test?
Here are my top 3 stinkers:
1. The death of HR 2239. The Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act of 2003.
A Bill to amend the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to require a voter-verified permanent record or hard copy.
http://thomas.loc.gov (type in HR 2239 at the top of the page).
Introduced in May of 2003 by Rush Holt this patch for the fatally flawed HAVA would have provided that elusive paper trail. It had wide support from both Democrats and Republicans in the House. It kills me to read the impassioned pleas Rush Holt and many others make (including a former SOS from Ohio) to members of the House.
This bill was referred to committee and the Republican leadership (Hastert and Delay) never allowed it to be brought to the floor.
This is a FACT and it STINKS!
OK let me get this off my chest...WHY THE F*CK DID THEY KILL THE PAPER TRAIL IF THEY WEREN'T GOING TO CHEAT!?
2.Those amazing Exit Polls! Call me crazy but I think all the statistical analysis by Dr. Freeman, and many other respected academics and statisticians (including DU's own TIA), plus the informed comments from Zogby and many others actually do amount to something.
AND The fact that the corporate MSM refuses to release the raw exit poll data 2 months after the election REALLY, REALLY SMELLS OF SH*T!
3. The political/religious affiliations of Diebold, ES&S, Sequoia, Triad. Aw jeez I don't have to provide links for these stinking fascists do I?
I know there are many other critical pieces: The voter suppression, voter intimidation the Berkley study etc. etc. etc. the point is we are talking about the stench of an open landfill next to an animal rendering plant.
So what smells worst to you?
