Senator Russ Feingold 517 East Wisconsin Avenue, Room 408 Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202-4504 Dear Senator Feingold,
When I moved to Wisconsin 18 months ago one of the things I was happy about that was that you would now be my Senator. I had admired your work, your honesty, your integrity, your positivity and your toughness for some time. Today I write to ask you to demonstrate all of those qualities by standing with Congressman Conyers when he presents his case against the legitimacy of the 2004 election. As I’m sure you are aware, there appear to be many irregularities in manifold form that just keep coming up. The lack of co-operation, the secrecy, the lack of transparency all could point to there being a problem. If the Ohio vote is confirmed it will be a blow against democracy. Of course Ohio is at present the state receiving the most focus as regards this election cycle, however similar irregularities have been found in areas all across the country. There may be absolutely nothing wrong. But there might be. Unless the election is thoroughly investigated –and not just by being allowed to inspect the small via the sample of ballots as provided by partisan election officials, then we will have once more had an illegitimate election. Senator, please don’t allow what happened to the Congressional Black caucus in 2000 happen again. Please take a stand and endorse Congressman Conyers objection.
Respectfully yours,
eek
