It is GOOD that Kerry is not going to be there tomorrow

Kerry has 3 options concering the certification of the electors tomorrow...
1. Be there and not protest.
2. Be there and protest
3. Not be there.

Scenario 1 makes Kerry look weak because he can't even stand up for himself.

Scenario 2 makes him look like a sore loser.

Scenario 3 shows America that this isn't about him, that it is about Democracy and our right to vote.

If Kerry was there and a Senator does stand up, then the media will hound Kerry afterwards and it will be all about him. Now when a Senator stands up and protests, the media attention will be on the protest, not on Kerry. Plus, Kerry is in the middle east to see it first hand. That sure beats Bu$h being in his own fantasy world about Iraq.

I just hope that Kerry doesn't go into seclusion (like some other candidate did) while he is over in the Middle East. Please come John and then be a strong voice for the movement for democracy in America.

No, it needs to be poured all over those who claimed to be on our side. They need to be held accountable by those who can make a difference: those who actually voted for them. I did not vote for hastert or frist. They do not care what I think because I will not vote for them anyway. Kerry damn well should care about how hard we worked. Some do. Some don't.

So, where do we put our anger? Aim it at the party that is not living up to our liberal roots. The DNC has to be swept clean, and the only way to do that is to sweep the candidates clean.

I have to think that if he thought his presence would change the discussion or outcome, he would be there.

I'm choosing to believe that he isn't there because, having counted votes, he knows there will be a debate and he knows there will be enough protesting congressmen to de-certify at least Ohio.

When I worked in the Emergency Room we had many members of the team: We had trauma specialists, anesthesiologists, cardioligists, each person was skilled in a certain area of medical care... each person had a place.

Hospitals cost a LOT of money to run and to staff and they don't hire folks who aren't needed. One person who was on the team did nothing but sit next to the patient being worked on and talk to the person. Get their name, tell them what was happening, get names of family members, reassure the patient, explain when something was going to be painful or frightening.

Now WHY would a hospital hire someone whose job it is primarily to just TALK? The job even has a title: "Patient advocate"

I'll *tell* you why! Because when a person is in crisis they NEED someone who will BE there for them... to let them know they are NOT alone. It's more than just foolish "window dressing" too! Persons who feel they have nobody standing up for them give up sooner, fight less vigourously for life!

What does this have to do with John Kerry? EVERYTHING! Even if he intended to let the election go, he ought NOT to have lead us ON as he did! And in our hours of need WHERE WAS HE?! He is NOT (and has never been) our advocate... but he certainly CLAIMED all the perks and adulation that goes with such a job!

He has not done ONE DAMNED THING to show us he still cares... or ever DID... about what happened to the election! He failed in the VERY thing he needed to succeed in, demonstrating leadership, to retain the public's trust.

He has not made a definite... or even SYMBOLIC... gesture of comfort or support to his followers. He hasn't even IMPLIED support!

He is NO leader, but he sure as Hell expects US to be followers!

I liked his letter. He sent one today to his supporters. It's the second one (not counting one to help the troops.) It comforted me. He's not going to be president. But I blame George W.Bush and his cronies for that. I don't blame Kerry. That's the difference between you and I.

He has lent some support to legal suits being filed in Ohio. He is not going to be President, however, if you can forgive him that.
