We either did or did not get what we were hoping for. We were or were not satisfied with what took place today. But these things have happened. So now what?

I won't say that I'm not dissapointed and I didn't wish for more - I did. I do NOT accept that Bush WON this election and I never will. But this matter is done now. So for those of us still prepared to keep working, no matter how we feel about TODAY, what's next?

I think we could start by working toward a real paper trail and supporting those who spoke for us, esp. those who voted against certifying the Ohio's electoral votes. Feel free to add your own ideas for initiatives here.

I suggest we be supportive of those who are still upset. Any of us have a right to be. But let's get started working TOGETHER on what we CAN change now that we know what we can't change, instead of bashing eachother. Let's NOT let this happen in 2008.

24. The MSM referred to today's events as an interruption of something

"ceremonial". Some of the politicians seemed to react as if this were entirely inappropriate. But there apparently is no constitutional process which allows for an effective time and place to question the vote! Blackwell had power over this until he certified the vote and there was nothing else we could do until today. There needs to be a better legal process for contesting an election!

I think we need to keep working to prove election fraud, if we can prove that, then we can get corporate media attention. Until we reach the masses with direct PROOF, the majority of Americans will not take anything else we try to do seriously. The BASIC need here is to PROVE we have credibility about election fraud.

Surely, we can get these machines tossed and replaced with something similar to the small, cheep, fraud-proof machines used in India.

19. What I'd like to see

Get all voter intimidation and voter disenfranchisement on record. In every state where suspected malfeasance occurred, nail down who was responsible. Where applicable, take the wrong-doers to court. Then go after whoever was responsible for BBV being brougt into their states. If necessary, change how voting methods are determined. Seems like there was an awful lot of behind the scenes buying of these BBVs. I guess what I'm saying is, nail down everything as fact, so there's a strong foundation for complete voting reform.

If you rob a bank, it shouldn't matter what party you belong to, and they don't stop trying to nail you just because you spent all the money or because or there's another bank robbery scheduled to start in a few years.

Why should stealing an election be any different?

I always knew it would come to that, which is why I'm not terribly upset about what happened today. I wish Hillary and others had voted YES on objecting to the Ohio votes, but Dem courage seems to have atrophied and isn't going to come back overnight.
