The Columbus Dispatch - 1/08/05

But naturally, he tries to weasel out of it:
Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell, a Republican who was co-chairman of the Bush-Cheney campaign in Ohio, said the request for corporate checks was an oversight and that criticism of his partisan activities for Bush is "misdirected."Other comments over on a dKos diary:

If Blackwell is stupid or arrogant enough to do this now, make an illegal request of this nature while under intense scrutiny, he's probably done it in the past.
We need to continue to dig for signs of other illegal activity beyond FEC, too.
Leopards don't change their spots, yes? If his personal ethics are this misinformed, he's likely to be a serial offender.
Keep digging. And keep watching, like a hawk.
