Actually since (as per translation) it says that the beautiful sex kept 'the most powerful man in the world' waiting, I read this as a tip of the hat to beautiful sex for not bowing to the power-mad dick. Referring to the two women as members of "the beautiful sex" in this context was, I think, a tiny prick of German political comedy. Tee-hee.
