Update on Nevada election case against the NV SOS ...
this today from Patricia Axelrod in email (Remember, SOS Dean Heller is the big marketer for Sequoia machines with printers although he did not protect the Las Vegas voters from non-printers in the past election, the largest population base in Nevada):

In an interesting turn of events the Nevada Secretary
of State, Dean Heller, has defied a court ordered
'Alternative Writ of Mandamus to surrender the 2004 Presidential election public records or to explain why he can not do so under oath by January 11. In defiance of an Alternative Writ of Mandamus issued by Judge William Maddox, Secretary Heller has filed a motion/plea with the court to request permission to file a motion to dismiss the case against him. The Secretary had already filed an earlier Motion to Dismiss which Judge Maddox took into consideration in finding for Patricia Axelrod and ratifying the court's jurisdiction over the matter and Axelrod's legitimate legal right to the public records of the Nevada Presidential race. Axelrod plans to request Judge Maddox to find the Secretary of State in contempt of court.

"The Nevada Secretary of State is guilty of contempt
of court by every definition of the phrase. He has
shown a blatant disregard for the court's order as
well as for the entire lawful process which I AND
Judge Maddox entered into in good faith. It is quite
obvious that the Nevada Secretary of State believes
himself to be above the law. Hopefully, Judge Maddox
will think otherwise and find Dean Heller in contempt
of court," said Patricia Axelrod.

1. Interesting.
Did he also head up the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign in the state of Nevada?

14. He was intimately involved in the Bush Cheney campaign in Nevada
and was at the initial meeting in which some Nevada mining officials involved with State Party officials, the Governor, the AG, etc. all met with Bush and Rove in a Reno, Nevada hotel room to discuss the Bush re-election campaign in Nevada, within a few short weeks, Heller announces putting Sequoias with printers in statewide. A few short weeks after that, he sheepishly admits HAVA didn't give him enough money to put them in statewide so the 10-yr old Sequioas in Las Vegas would stay for this election but new ones with printers would go in before the 2006 election. Then he helped spread the rumor nationwide that the entire state voted on emachines (true) with printers (not true), giving the false impression that this was a very secure election.

If he's running for Congress in 2006, and remains tight with the Sequoia company, it would make sense he'd feel good he could win the election ....

17. NVMojo, what did you say after Reid's speech on 1/6, about him lying?
Lying about the voting machines and the paper trail?

I want to write him, but I need to include that.

Also, is there a pattern here with SOS's and voting machines?

Blackwell just issued an order for statewide optical scanners.

18. Hello Ojai, I have been told that Reid is probably misinformed
about the voting machines. He said on national TV (C-span) on the day of the election certification that Nevada had a "total" emachine with printers election and this is not true. Fifty percent of the machines used in Nevada did not have printers on them and they were located in precincts throughout Las Vegas (the city). They were ten year old Sequoias that Heller promised to have retrofit with printers prior to the Nov. 2 election but then Sequoia said they couldn't do it. Those machines, over 2,000 of them almost equaled the number of brand new machines that Heller bought with HAVA money and put in rural Nevada, Henderson and the more "well off" precincts in Las Vegas.

It's a bit late right now but I will email you the links about these facts tomorrow if you can wait? Let me know. Thanks for your interest!

It just goes to show how uninformed they are.

Is Reid decent? What is your take?

Edit to say: He seems like one whom we should work on educating. I don't think he's a rollover. He has planned investigations of the executive branch. Now that it's not about who's winning, he might be a lot more amenable to information to keep the vote from being messed with in the future. Do you think so?

2. Wow thats Great news!
Verrry interesting over there.

A SOS refusing to comply with a judge's orders. Judge demands to see voting records. SOS will not let them be shown, but why?

This is great! How more serious can you get? This is something that can be shown to a 3rd party and have them shocked it is so blatant. Court orders, there's something a regular joe doesn't wanna mess with.

4. What exactly is meant by this:
"..SOS Dean Heller is the big marketer for Sequoia machines..."? Does he have financial/business ties with Sequoia? Or does it just mean the state bought them?

13. Just got home and read tonight's local paper. In it was an announcement
that Dean Heller plans to run for Congress in 2006. I guess he had to make sure he rigged Nevada's election before he took a jump like that. Jerk....
