And how can you help see that justice is done? Get on the record yourselves. Contact the Republican leaders of House and the Senate and make your opinions known, in a polite and determined way!

I recommend that you write Rep. Dennis Hastert (R-IL) and Senator Bill Frist (R-TN) requesting that they assist in the effort to determine whether criminal wrongdoing took place.

5. Another letter writing campaign this weekend. Got any suggestions as to

what I should include in my letter? I like to do form letters to these guy's. They don't deserve my individual remarks. Only Dem's and Independents get individual remarks in their letters.

7. When you write your letters, somthing every progressive should

know and do, but they keep missing the point!

Make sure you print them out and MAIL them! Washington is driven by paper. They can't hide the paper. Every move that's made going forward should be sent through the USPS.

Don't give the repugs the excuse that "oh, that could just be an email glitch. That's why my mail box has 100,000 emails clogging it."

Force them to deal with the volume of paper. And don't forget to put your CC on every letter!

12. Nice resource. Try to sound like a patriot American in your letter.

Quote the Founding Fathers. Get irate at Big Government. You dont actually have to lie and say you are a Republican or an Independent. Many of the Congressional Republicans are old fashioned limited federal government Republicans, and in their heart of hearts they are as horrified by * as we are. Be sincere. They will spot sarcasm.

Dont copy other people's letters. Craft individual ones. If possible write a different one for each Congress person. Sure volume helps, but never rule out the possibility that you may hit a nerve with a certain story, analogy or quote.

I'd suggest FAX as the best method since it generates PAPER and it's much faster than snail mail for various reasons.

14. May I humbly suggest you don't call them 'thugs' when you write them.

You're more likely to be heard if you treat others with the respect you would be treated with. If you cannot respect their actions, respect their office and try to act in a way more likely to achieve the result you intend.

We don't want to insult these politicians, we want them to consider our words and act accordingly.

We need to stick to the facts as best we can determine them.
There were 5 bills, and they were never voted on.

According to his floor counsel Brian Lewis: The 109th Congress "has a full agenda for the year ahead “...we don’t see any time for election reform... there was an obscene amount of time spent on passing HAVA.”

Tell them what you think of them people! It's the only way to get these laws on the books, other than at the state level, which is what they are suggesting now because they dropped the ball on Verified Voting.
