Remember the Bush-Cheney TV ad that showed a pack of wolves moving in menacingly toward the viewer as the announcer intones about the danger of leaving America defenseless from attack?

Well, it turns out that ad was prescient.  Right now, within our borders, there's a pack of wolves circling stealthily, "waiting to do America harm." They have sized up their chosen victims, who appear to be isolated and defenseless. The wolves have already signaled they are ready to move in.

On January 18, Republican Attorney General Jim Petro asked the Ohio Supreme Court to sanction and fine the four courageous attorneys who filed the Moss v. Bush lawsuit: Robert Fitrakis, Susan Truitt, Cliff Arnebeck, and Peter Peckarsky.  Two days later, he did the same for the other lawsuit, Moss v. Moyer.  His charge? That the four lawyers had filed "frivolous " lawsuits which lacked evidence of any voting problems in Ohio.

Petro's action was especially vicious and threatening, since it was filed against each of the lawyers personally — meaning that if the defendants lose, the penalties could go beyond professional sanctions. The defendants could even lose their personal assets, such as their homes.

And if they have discovery, which in their defense they will then have a right to do, they will try again to get Blackwell and others to testify or be deposed under oath. If he refuses again, that is all the more to our side's good! We can keep making the argument, "what is Blackwell hiding?"

I sincerely appreciate all the efforts of Arnebeck, etc. It seems they worked very hard to help the cause.

But I see some inconsistencies…

First, this post suggests that they need money for sanctions. It is absolutely true that a motion for sanctions has been brought forwarded. However, the court has not ruled on this motion. Therefore, if they dismiss the motion for sanctions – well that is the end of it.

Other posts suggest they need money for the ‘wheelbarrow of evidence’ – for what purpose I am not sure of. Let us theorize that it is to plea their case for the sanctions.

Case 04-2088 and 04-2106 were lawsuits presented to the courts to contest the election. One would think that all evidence would be bound and ready for presentation. These cases were dismissed by the contestors due to the Ohio electors proceeding with their vote and the subsequent validation by the Congress of the USA. The contestors Arnebeck, et al withdrew the case. One would think that all the evidence would already be placed in ‘the wheelbarrow’ and readily available. Where did the $28000 dollar figure come from?

For those wondering what the ‘hell is my logic is ’ and ‘why I am posting here’ is simply this: I am looking out for my fellow DUers. It is so easy to prey upon the wonderful and giving hearts of the DUers.

Here is my promise: if the Ohio Court places sanctions against Arnebeck – I will be the first to donate to the sanction fee.

I truly hope that I just made an ass of myself and that this cause is real. However, if monies are not required - then I have saved some folks some money.

The ultimate closure will come when the courts decide on the sanctions – only then will we know.

If you have followed this case in other threads, they are hoping not just to avoid sanctions, they are using this case to present the evidence that they were not able to in their lawsuits.

these lawyers 'withdrew' their case and was dismissed. So to say 'present the evidence that they were not able to in their lawsuit' is, well, just does not sit well with me...

One would think that they would have push forward on the initial lawsuit with the 'wheelbarrow' of evidence then - before the electors voted and before the Congress accepted the election - not after the threat of sanctions.

What would have happened if these sanctions were not called for? Would that be the end of this completely? What would they do with this boat load of evidence?

The reason I am adamant about this is that the request for donations just does not jive with what has happened. I am simply wanting the good folks at DU to think about what is going on here.

I sincerely appreciate what these lawyers have done...

And, by the way, I do pay attention and maybe digest more than most.

planning to re-file, but then but then the sanctions suit came about and they decided to use it to bring out the evidence that they had been gathering.

Many of us feel that these people have stuck their necks out for the cause, to expose the Fraud in Ohio, and we feel that they are worthy of support.

There are plenty of other causes and issues on DU and elsewhere. so AS I SAID, if you do not want to donate, don't donate. Nobody is forcing you or anybody else to participate, but please stop haranguing those of us who do. Again, please, move on and let those of us who want to support this cause do so.

Here is an excerpt from Conyers' letter to Petro:

"As an initial matter, one would be hard pressed to see how the legal challenges brought under the Ohio election challenge statute were “frivolous.” First off, it is widely known that the Ohio presidential election was literally riddled with irregularities and improprieties, many of which are set forth in the 102 page report issued by the House Judiciary Committee Democratic Staff. As a matter of fact, the problems were so great that Congress was forced to debate the first challenge to an entire state’s slate of electors since the federal Electoral Count law was enacted in 1877. In short, there is more than an abundant record raising serious, substantive questions about the Ohio presidential election."

It seems to me, Petro would be smart to drop it!

We should contact 'Court TV' to televise the whole thing, and get all that evidence in front of the TV audience! (as if the judge would allow it to be televised...hah.)
