How 'bout Kerry Giving some of the Xtra $14M to Arnebeck's Defense

Saw Kerry on TV today (sun) and he confirmed the existence of the approximately $14 Million surplus from his campaign.
Personally, I think that it would be totally and wholly unacceptable if he did not donate some of that money to help Arnebeck, et. al in their newest Ohio Repression Prosecution.
If Arnebeck, et. al can go to the wall to Protect the Sanctity of Democracy, than Kerry should be able to at least help them with his
surplus campaign funds. It's not much to ask.
And it would sure make him look like one Hell of a Mensch.
Of course, I know, in advance, that it is a fatal faux pas here
to criticize Kerry, but somehow I think that this is something a bit more important.

2. I think you're right.

If he wants to make "every vote count" and help reform the election system, he should use that money. After all, it's not "his" to begin with--it came from donations, and most of it was supposed to be used for the GELAC. So, I think we absolutely should e-mail Kerry and ask him to contribute. The money that isn't spent on their campaigns belongs to the candidates to do with as they wish.

The one thing he said more than once during the interview today was that in Ohio no one asked for more money or more anything and didn't get it. He was referring to the campaign, but is it possible that no one has asked him? Maybe he is unwilling to offer but if asked would donate? I don't know, just a thought.

That's where some of it is going. And don't forget he still has his own suit separate from Arnebeck's case. So as long as he's paying for his own suit, then I don't see why he needs to pay for Arnbeck's unless Arnbeck starts to tank, and the suit has a chance of producing results of some sort. Kerry has generally been throwing money in and support to keep the ball rolling if it looked like it was going to stop. If the ball is still rolling in Arnebeck's case, I don't think Kerry will throw money in. That's what I see, anyway.

Campaign funds are very regulated. There are specific uses that are legal and this use would not be one of them.

He can't donate funds raised for a campaign to support lawyers in private suits. No matter how much we might like to see him do that, he can't.

If you want to raise money for the lawyers you can do that privately, not as part of a campaign for public office.

We should do a campaign to put pressure on Kerry
This is the one and only opportunity Arnebeck et. al will have to file discovery and present evidence
This actually by passes the obstacle of Proving:
1. That Fraud DID Occur and
2. Said Fraud was enough to change the outcome of the Election
prior to seeking evidence (i.e. discovery)
which is the reason the Original case was thrown out .
If this case proceeds, Arnebeck et. al nay have legal grounds to impound and investigate the E-voting Equipment and backtrace the servers for the central tabulators

16. Mc Tigue, not Hoffheimer

McTigue is the voter lawyer. Hoffheimer was a probate lawyer, and I think a Republican. At the least, he wasn't terribly effective. The one that counts right now, I think, because he's taking care of the voter lawsuit, is McTigue.

So why does he need to give money to a lawsuit when he's got his own voter lawsuit happening, doesn't he?

15. Fear of Being Tainted is Not an Acceptable Option

Kerry ran for President of America, and a hell of lot of people went to the wall for him. He damn well is aware of the E-Vote Manipulation. Now he won't touch the fight with a ten-foot pole. Neither will the Democratic Party Hierarchy. Why?
Because no body wants to be tainted as some whacked out conspiracy theorist. This is totally unacceptable. Kerry has refused to stand up for this since the election.
Somebody wants my respect and support, they better earn it. Somebody wants to lead me, they better be willing to fight as hard as I fight.
Right now, with the Arnebeck persecution, this is the best chance to present and obtain evidence in court.
And it is the best time for Kerry to be a Mensch. Sentence left unfinished. Intentionally.
Any Kerry avoidance on this specific issue is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

could possibly be used if brought out by Arnebeck

He could claim that they are mining the Arnebeck case for evidence in the Cobb case

This is the way one of the papers, The New York Times, reported it: "Senator John Kerry had more than $14 million in one of his election accounts in late November, according to a report filed with the Federal Election Commission, causing some Democrats to complain that he should have spent all of it to defeat President Bush or to help other Democratic candidates."

Why did you hold that money? Why didn't you spend it on yourself and other Democrats?

SEN. KERRY: Well, we spent unprecedented sums on other Democrats around the country. No candidate has ever given as much money as I did to the Democratic Committee. We gave $40 million. I gave $3 million, $4 million, to the DSCC, to the Democratic Senate committee. I gave $3 million to the House committee. We gave money to parties, to the degree that every state director wanted. And the reason we had some of the money left over is that, as you know, I wanted to hold my--I wanted to accept the nomination later. There was an uproar in the party. People didn't want you to accept it because there was a 13-week general election for our campaign and an eight-week general election for the Republicans. We couldn't spend the money legally in the month of August. We had the money held in reserve in the event that some state director said, "We desperately need the money," and we gave more money than the directors seemed to be able to--we were--money was not an issue in the outcome of what happened in this race.

MR. RUSSERT: How much do you have left?

SEN. KERRY: I don't know what it is now because we paid extra costs of the campaign. We still have audits. We paid--I gave $1 million to the Senate Campaign Committee. I gave $250,000 to Christine Gregoire's recount in Washington. I gave $50,000 to a House race in Louisiana...

SEN. KERRY: ...so we're trying to build parties...
