34. Posting the picture here...
I read this whole thread without seeing a picture of Kerry, so I'm going to re-post the picture for those DUers who come to read this thread.

Kerry is my president. In fact, I've grown to respect him even more since the fraud took place. At first, I was disappointed, because I didn't see how, without his vocal support, that a handful of DUers could bring this issue public. But....we, and a handful of other bloggers....did manage to do that. And of course John Conyers, Barbara Boxer, and Tubbs-Jones were great heroes in all of this.

But....we HAVE TO keep the fight alive. All other issues; social security, the environment, the war, Patriot Act II, the torture of prisoners....EVERY issue depends on our vote, because that's how we can get rid of these assholes in power. If they were out of power, and decent people were put IN POWER, then we could fix all the problems. Without our votes counting in elections, this country is a runaway train to hell.

Kerry.... :yourock:

3. Sad...
I can't caption it, cuz it's just too sad.

That amazing, sensitive, intelligent statesman should be giving the speech--not that flea-brained toddler-man who stands up there now.

It's just so revolting and horrible to see Kerry sitting, when he should be standing.

4. Look at Kerry's right hand. Think about his thumb and let me tell you...
...about what is happening to that thumb.

It is being crushed.

With that in mind, look at Senator Kerry's expression.

Numerous times, in numerous situations during my 30+ professional years, I have crushed my thumb in exactly that type of grip, to prevent myself from either saying or doing something to some dumb-ass jerk, spewing some dumb-ass bullshit, while I planned exactly how I was going to nail their dumb-ass to a wall.

What you see with that right hand and that expression is as clear a picture as you are ever going to see of a dignified leader capable of holding enormous emotion in-check while he meticulously plans how he is going to decimate Bu$h and his Neoconster gang.

Peace.

It hurts me to know that he had to sit there and endure this. He is a statesman, but he is human too. Can you imagine the pain and the anger that was going through him during this entire circus show.

The mixed emotions I see on his face and in his body remind me of a quote. Let me get it and post it. I'll be back, excuse me a minute. . . . .

Edited to add quote from All the President's Men:

DEEP THROAT
--you've done worse than let Haldeman slip away, you've got people feeling sorry for him--I didn't think that was possible. A conspiracy like this-- the rope has to tighten slowly around everyone's neck. You build from the outer edges and you go step by step. If you shoot too high and miss, then everybody feels more secure. . .

poster replied to the whiny babies in the thread about the Dems putting up $500,000.00 to investigate the election fraud in Ohio with this quote. So many on that thread were saying "too little, too late". They still don't get it, Kerry couldn't come out fighting in November or December or January. He knew then, just like he knows now, we can't let folks feel sorry for the weed, that would hamper all of the efforts to get him and all his nasty neo-cronies. They have to get all they can on everyone of them, they have to tighten that rope ever so slowly around everyone's neck. They have to build the case, methodically and intricately. Kerry, more than any of the others, knows how evil the BFEE truly is and he is a patient and thorough prosecutor/investigator.

Bless his heart, it hurts to think how much pain he is in, a mixture of anger and sadness, not for himself as much as for the nation and the troops in Iraq.

I love JFK, he is the 44th President of the USofA. :loveya:

19. Amen, again, "Patsy," "merh," and "txindy"!!! Like I said, I truly know...
...how hard he was crushing that thumb.

You are looking at a truly great person; someone with an extraordinary capacity to place his personal needs and interests way in the background, and act to the benefit and stability of our Nation and the world.

So, let me share something with some of my favorite DUers (and KOEBers!!) that I wrote to Senator Kerry on Monday, (some of which I had posted partially here at DU in response to the incessant whining about 'why didn't he do more, sooner':

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

31 January 2005

Good evening Senator Kerry,

Several individuals have speculated as to why you do not declare what is obvious to many of us, specifically, that the Presidential election of 2004 was stolen.

Your discussion with Mr Russert on Sunday, 30 Jan 2005, precipitated much angst and disheartenment that you simply refuse to state publicly your assessment of the mounting evidence that something terribly flawed occurred on 2 Nov 2004.

I happen to be one of those who knew, as soon as CNN switched the exit poll data early on the morning of 3 Nov 2004 that tampering had occurred and I happen to be one of those who have a clear understanding of the software mechanisms available to anyone who wanted to hack either the touchscreen devices, the optical scanners or the central tabulating systems.

Mounting evidence, since 3 Nov 2004, in numerous States points to hacking the touchscreen devices as a major source of vote switching; the basis of explaining much, if not all, the divergence of the exit poll data from the reported ‘votes.’

Be that as it may, I have responded to those who question your stance with the following perspective.

“I am the only person responsible for these comments. I do not have any 'insider' information. What you read here are just my opinions.

3 Nov 2004 -- What was Senator Kerry to do?

30 Jan 2005 -- What was Senator Kerry to do?

Today, as opposed to 3 Nov 2004, even more Americans detest Mr Bush.

I use the word detest to express extreme disgust with the man, with his associates and with what he has done to America and to others.

When I use the phrase 'even more Americans' I'm not referring to a few thousand. Nearly 60 million Americans detested Mr Bush on 2 Nov 2004. They were not just casting ballots for Senator Kerry because they respected him more than *, or thought he could do a better job than * -- they wanted * and every member of his theocratic, NeoCon cabal, OUT.

We are talking about millions of truly pissed folk; impassioned, angry folk.

Think about it.

Senator Kerry (just look at those photos from WI, up thread) is a powerful, articulate, intelligent, person.

Senator Kerry stands before the Nation and the World on the morning of 3 Nov 2004, at Faneuil Hall!!, and says what several of us knew to be true that morning -- "Mr Bush and his associates have stolen another election."

Think about it.

Senator Kerry, today, on an internationally broadcast TV program says to countless millions, not just in America but throughout the world, what we here know and many, many more than on 3 Nov 2004 now know -- "Mr Bush and his associates have stolen another election."

Think about it.

I have chosen the words and their order in the sentence "Mr Bush and his associates have stolen another election" very carefully. Any, I repeat, ANY sentence that Senator Kerry could have chosen, either on 3 Nov 2004, or today, or any day in between, that contained even a hint of questioning of the validity of the election would be "heard" as "Bush stole another election."

Do you realize what that might incite? Do you realize how close we are to catastrophic chaos within this Nation and around the world due to Bush's criminal activities.

Please, everyone, we are living at the edge; we are at near flash point; we are facing one of the most volatile situations in history.

Senator Kerry is doing what a truly heroic, responsible and patriotic leader MUST DO.

He is diligently, thoughtfully placing the stability of our America and humanity before a self-serving, headstrong, totally irresponsible frontal assault on Bush and the theocratic, NeoCon, criminal cabal.

And, I fully admit that many times during the past 3 months I've wanted him to call Bush out; but, I've grown to realize, more and more every day, that it is "We The People of the United States of America...." who must be the ones to 'call Bush out.'

And, indeed, many of our fellow Americans have been doing just that; have been gathering the information that can serve to expose the mechanism(s) used to deny our fellow citizens a legitimately elected President.

For instance, I would be surprised if Senator Kerry is not fully aware of the following:

http://www.votersunite.org/info/outsourcedemocracyno.asp

Related link here at DU:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=203x310220

(some of the comments I've posted about the situation in Snohomish can be found here at DU and at VR. Here's one link:
http://www.velvetrevolution.us/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3 )

And, the Senator most likely knows that this suit and more are going to 'break' in the coming days and weeks. In that context, in that 'frame,' he'll be able to speak to the issue in ways that have not been available to him as yet.

So, I urge all of you to Support Senator Kerry, more so now than ever -- he's earned it the hard way, by being a responsible leader, not a whining petulant child who didn't get what they wanted.

And, realize this is not a video game. Unleash the anger of millions of people and you don't ever get to hit restart or reboot. I think Senator Kerry knows he is not playing a game, I think he knows full well that the election was stolen, and I think he deeply understands the responsibility of unleashing the anger of just one person.

Just my opinions offered respectfully to all of you.

Peace.

BE THE BU$H OPPOSITION; 24/7”

Just want you to know, Senator Kerry, that many of us are defending our Constitution and are going to expose and work to indict and prosecute those who have perpetrated a fraudulent election in order to continue their illegal, inhumane and unjust actions within America and elsewhere in the world.

Thank you,
B Robert Franza MD
Research Professor & Director

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Those last two items are not an accident, everyone. That's who understandinglife is.

Gird yourself; we're all going to have to show the same 'steel' and determination you each see in that photo of Senator Kerry -- this is serious.

Peace.

27. I agree with you merh
about Kerry. Even though I was upset I remembered what happened with Gore when he was fighting in public and he knew that without the hard facts to prove to the neocon's about the fraud he would've been a laughing stock on the Hill and he couldn't even do anything in the Senate anymore. So in many ways I'm glad he conceded so early. I used to go to this debate board and I remember all the neocons were saying how honorable Kerry was in conceding and not keep going on like Gore did. Of course I was upset they called him honorable after slandering him all that time.

he really does care.

He wants it to be right, and he knows the difference between right and wrong.

He knows it isn't a ball game. It's not the Pro Bowl,it's not the East-West Shrine Game: it's American democracy. And it pains him to see it hijacked, corrupted, and prostituted to the sources of global capital who have figured out how to buy it.

And he sits there, and he takes it. Because he wants to make it right.
