One Clear Concise Message
Get Rid of E-voting by the 2006 Election.

Destroy it, unplug all the machines and in the 2006 election hand count the paper ballots. We can do this.

The midterm elections are practically minor affairs, with few ballot items and far fewer voters, so while getting rid of the machines would cause a bit of trouble, it would be nothing like 2008.

By 2008 we can select a vote counter that has open source and get them installed in most places, but we need to look right now at 2006.

We have twelve months to drive a stake through the heart of e-voting.
Let your voice be heard: Get Rid of E-voting, Now!

1. If we do this we can get 26 Governorships....
even more state legislatures and the Senate.

2. "NOT ONE LINE OF CODE BETWEEN A VOTER AND A VALID ELECTION"
That is the ONLY message I have been delivering, daily, for the past 3 months.

3. This makes sense to me too
But I dont see how to do it, unless people in large numbers refuse to vote on them.

Legislatively at the fed level there doesnt seem to be the will to do this, and some states are sunk into it deeply and will try to fend off citizen objections.

I agree 2006 is an emergency, and something needs to be done.
So what do you propose BeFree?
