Kerry for president in 2008 website links/petitions
Don't know if this is a repost or not, but to all you Kerry supporters there are various websites planning ahead for his run in 2008. There are petitions you can sign that will be forwarded to Senator Kerry urging him to run. As you can probably tell, I am a big time Kerry supporter and I hope that he does run in 2008 for the sake of our country. Please sign the petitions and visit the below sites for more info:

If anybody else has other links regarding helping out with a Kerry in 2008 run, please feel free to post--thanks!

1. Thanks for the info, but.....
next time around I`ll be voting for an anti-war Democrat who dares to stand up and speak the truth in plain language.

I hope to vote for a Democrat that has the balls to tell it like it is in plain English. The only way we're gonna get the non-voters and fence-sitters in the past election out is to put up a candidate who connects to the people.

Personally I'm hoping that Jim Hightower would run. I'd vote for him in a New York minute!

2. Why?
He's been flooded with information about election fraud yet he continues to go on TV and say why he lost. The attorneys in Ohio have complained that his public comments have had a negative affect on their lawsuits.

We need a candidate who knows about the fraud and is willing to fight against it.

5. Kerry in 08 would be a huge mistake.
Think about it. Over 50% of Americans, before the election, thought Bush was not doing a good job. But then they voted for him. I'd take a lot of those votes as votes AGAINST Kerry. Why make the same mistake twice? Especially when they can just recycle the same dirt to use against him again.

15. Well everybody here got their wish. To set Kerry up so that...
_______________ who is Anti-War, not afraid of the media, cool, stir-the -masses type can run in 2008. I am glad I wasn't stupid to play into Smirky's hands. He knew we were all bitching and moaning about Kerry so he Dougboy's advertising worked. Never mind the fact of how lousy a candidate Kerry was, we were just too lazy and grouchy to think about what kind of president he would have been if we had just shut up and voted Smirky out.

6. I doubt you will find a more devoted Kerry supporter than me, but, please,
let's support him for everything he wants to accomplish legislatively in 2005..

Democrats won't survive till 2008 if we don't unite wholly against the Republicans TODAY. Any presidential campaign talk for 2008 is a DIVISIVE distraction that we don't need now as a party.

Let them ALL perform their asses off for the next few years, and then we'll see who will have earned support for 2008.

If you do, you can post in the Kerry Group forum where everyone actually LIKES him.

you won't have much luck in the main forums :nopity:

13. you have to donate a little bit of money to the site
you just click up top on 'donate', if you can do it anyway - with a credit card if you have one - just donate a few dollars or more, whatever you can spare, and it will give you a gold star status and you will be able to post in all group forums, as well as have the 'search' function as well as a few other features (not sure what they are though).

it's damn worth it if you want to be with other Kerry supporters.

if you can't do it for sure, let me know.

16. Don't worry Vote4Kerry,
by the time it matters, there will be alot of support for the man. Most anti-Kerry folks here have no idea how capable he is and how silly they all are because "he didn't do what they wanted so he is bad".

Please post in the Kerry Group Forum. These will be appreciated and you will feel welcomed! I welcome you to DU! :hi:

I love, worship, and adore John Kerry. I had no idea there was a Kerry forum. Sometimes I think I've accidently gone to that "other" site.

Lobby / Latest DU Groups John Kerry Group

It should get you there! You will love it and will find comfort in the many supporters that share your respect for the man!

Not everyone on this forum think that he has failed, some are adult enough and smart enough to understand the complexities of what happened November 2, 2004, and why reacting like a sore loser would have gotten John Kerry and our party and our nation NOWHERE!

Sorry, enough ranting, check out the group. Also, you might enjoy this thread post http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=203&topic_id=314979&mesg_id=315060

23. What's the point in voting for Kerry?
A vote for Kerry is pointless. He doesn't even want the job. If he did, he would have fought for it. He made promises to us that he broke. He portrayed himself as an honorable man with integrity, I bought into it, and then he conceded and made us all look like punks.

Forget it. Kerry isn't getting my support this time. He's not getting my vote even if the alternative is the Shrub. I'll just stay home on voting day, because there's absolutely no point whatsoever to voting for Kerry. I'll vote for Nader -- at least he's an honest crackpot rather than a capitulatory richboy wimp just like all the others.

29. Not me
No disrespect. But I won't support him in the primaries if he makes a run in 08.

He had his shot. I love him, but I think he had his chance and he blew it. He's a hell of a guy, but a flawed candidate nonetheless.

It's a shame, he would've made a fantastic leader. He just couldn't connect with people.

Just my $.02

30. Who can then?
I am beginning to feel like Kerry was set up to lose so that the Dems "favorite" can run in 2008. Shame cause he would have made a good president, if we knew who he was before the media "defined" him.

31. Here's another link
http://www.independentsforkerry.org/

The above site gives up to date info on Kerry. I was reading his response to the state of the union and it sounded very good. He made an excellent point that during the state of the union Osama bin laden's name was not even mentioned once when discussing the war on terror. I give Kerry credit--he does come up with smart responses and is very knowledgeable on a lot of subjects. Also, if you have not checked out the above link that I posted, here it is again. The guy that did the website put Kerry's quotes to music and he did a very good job of it. Check out the song (just open the page and it will play):
