I wanted to share with you guys the progress that VOTE has been making over the last few weeks.
1. We now have a Yahoo group set up,
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VOTE_Group/. This is our temporary home until our website is launched.
2. VOTE has 38 registered volunteers as of today. (This is at the Yahoo site.)
3. A TN VOTEster, Bernie, is working with the TN contingent and is getting VOTE set up in TN. He has been recruiting volunteers for VOTE as well as working towards getting VOTE involved in a national election reform conference in April.
4. Danostuporstar is designing our website, www.votegroup.com. Right now, the site will redirect people to our Yahoo group.
5. MDM is developing our database, which will hold the following:
a. Elected Officials and their contact info
b. Progressive groups and their contact info
c. Media outlets and their contact info
d. Documents concerning election fraud
e. Sample letters for other groups to use
f. lists of resources by type (no names will be released - we will just say that VOTE has x number of people who are willing to make calls or 15 people who are willing to design flyers, etc)
6. We have 20 documents and pdfs containing election fraud information and links.
7. We are compiling a list of links to other Progressive groups. This is going slowly.
VOTE desperately needs help getting these links and contact information for other groups working on election reform! 8. Our VOTE CD is being developed by cyberPJ and Pepper32. This CD will be offered to VOTE members and we will use it as our business card when contacting other groups. When we secure the rights to the songs, we will sell the CD for raising funds.
9. We have a directory of the entire 109th Congress with contact info thanks to greenmutha.
What we are working on now:*Getting the website up
*Getting our database developed
*Completing the organizational incorporation documents
*Gathering more data, including:
-State Elected Officials
-Media outlets including radio stations. We need local MSM contacts
-State Progressive groups
If you would like to volunteer, please go to the VOTE Yahoo site and log in. Also, you can email me at arnheim@domainofarnheim.com or PM me.
No piece of information is too small.
Data is important. We have to join thousands of people together so we can all speak with one voice that will scream for election reform!!
Thanks!
Arnie
