174. No, it wasn't all of that
Edited on Fri Feb-04-05 09:25 PM by Patsy Stone
But thanks for the good wishes and I am drinking now.

I have a MINI and the van in front of me hit the mattress and knocked it into my path while I was driving -- I couldn't avoid it. When my little car ran over it, it wedged itself under the car. There was a Road Ranger there in seconds. He gave up trying to jack up the car and remove the mattress, because he kept catching the mattress in the tow rig. He towed me to a safe area and I ended up backing up off of it, finally. All of it happened in the slow lane and the median between the traffic lane and the exit lane. Fun!

:hi:

He definately would have asked what was so funny!

Whaddar ya drinkin'? And, do you need another?

Oh, where's the pics of Simon?

I have Sgt. Pepper - my fourth Mustang. See, he's red like a pepper and, since he's the fourth (private, PFC, corporal, sergeant), he's, well Sgt. Pepper. ;) Straight-shift, 5-speed, 6-cyl (not a gas-guzzler, but still gets the job done).

I won't tell you how old it is, but I will tell you it only has 100,900 miles and is right as rain (OK... it's just a couple of years younger than one of my dogs and he's OLD).

The redneck, ass-kicers: Mustangs, Cameros, Monte Carlos, etc.

Everything else is just driving. ;)

356. Fully agree 'merh.' I have often thought it was George Sr.
He was chairman of the RNC at the time. At times I vacilated between George Sr and Kissinger, but I think Kissinger just had too much skin in Tricky's game to rat-out the fink.

In the now well-documented Cabinet meeting, when RMN hoped he could overwhelm those that he knew wanted him to go, as Gerald Ford was dropping the hammer, George Sr. was probably the most aggressive in urging Nixon to resign.

The person who actually revealed the existence of the tapes, Alexander Butterfield, might be a candidate, but I still think it was "Poppy."

Irony of ironies is that "Poppy" is soon going to need to be giving his son the same advice, though the scale of the crimes of W are of such magnitude, resigning is not going to keep his butt out of prison.

Peace and here's one to the wonderful KOEBers for their 'first friday' back home :toast:

392. Hello UL! So good to see you drop by with your toasts
and always-interesting thoughts. Before you and merh suggested it here a minute ago, I had not considered Poppy as a possible Deep Throat. He always seemed too wizened, too characterless to do something so bold. But it is an interesting idea, and many dangerous creatures do don camouflage of some sort to cover their true natures.

Interesting, what you said:
Irony of ironies is that "Poppy" is soon going to need to be giving his son the same advice, though the scale of the crimes of W are of such magnitude, resigning is not going to keep his butt out of prison.
Oh I hope so, I hope so with all my heart! At times it seems so nearly impossible, but if he and his goons don't get kicked out, it will be the death of this nation. And with the corrupted corporate media, most of the people aren't even aware of the depth of the lies and distortions they are fed on every day. It's "Freedom from Reality."

And thanks again for your warm welcome to the KOEB. Tonight I can only post a few times because I came in late and my connection is so slow. It takes forever to load the thread and then freezes repeatedly and has to be rebooted. But it's worth the frustration to participate.

Edited on Fri Feb-04-05 11:21 PM by merh
if you are protecting your source and don't want anyone to figure out who he is and he has a high pitched, nasal voice, would you call him deep throat as a cover? It works better than nasal throat or squeaky voice and folks that work with someone with a nasal, squeaky voice would know right away that he was the leak.

Just my theories, may be no legitimacy to any of them! I just know woodward kisses the asses of the BFEE and poppy had dirt on every repuke imaginable. Nixon overlooked him for VP, they always get revenge, no matter the cost and they always "come out smelling like roses" after they dump their trash.

Have a beer! We will wait to see what the news brings us on Sunday. Whatever it is, it is still their smoke screen, an effort to distract from all of their crimes.

Senior's library is at A&M and that's UT's biggest in-state rival in....well, everything. So, if W&B released this info. without Poppy's approval (assuming, of course, that it's him), giving it to UT is the best kick-in-the-pants imaginable. Trust me. If it's true and he really is Deep Throat, A&M will have a whole herd of cows about the snub. One of the most important historical exhibits relating to Senior and it's at UT? The horror! Edited on Sat Feb-05-05 12:15 AM by txindy
A&M gives a thumbs-up which signifies 'Gig 'Em', as in, rip out a frog's throat with a metal tool.

Now, you tell me, which one is nasty and evil, hmmm? ;)

And, no, I don't know why Junior does the Hook 'Em sign. The Law School rejected his sorry self. I guess it's identifying with the state or something. I'd rather he 'Gig 'Em', myself. UT is much too liberal for the likes of Junior. A&M is his kind of place. Hence the LBJ Library at UT and the Poppy library in Aggieland.

Gee doc, I am sure that you are just recalling all of the "press" coverage of that vulgar film! I am sure your recall is based on the very innocent recollections of your youth! ;-)

Can you just picture Bernstein/Woodward meeting their source (poppy?) at the porn movie? Not only did the info that was given to them blow their minds, but the irony of the "family" man with the squeaking image stopping to watch with intense interests certain scenes probably left such an impression that they couldn't resist the nickname.

LOL, who knows and then again, who will ever know the truth?

We lived in Georgetown from 1971 to 1979. One of 'the President's men' lived across the street. Many others lived in the 'neighborhood.'

An amazing time.

And, rumor had it that all kinds of 'up-scale' folk drove to the near-by VI and MD theaters for various 'avant guard' cinema -- chuckle, chuckle, chuckle.....some of whom may have even 'squeaked' when they chuckled.

Who's to know; who's to ever know

426. Good to see you doc!
So Keef says something will be in the Sunday papers about Deep Throat and he knows, but he can't tell us.

They open the Woodward and Bernstein watergate investigative file at a TEXAS university today. (What newspaper did they work for when they broke the watergate story? Why not a university in that state? Why Texas?)

Woodward is far to kind to the weed that would be king. One would think that a "true" investigative journalist like woodward or bernstein would investigate the crimes of this admin, instead, Woodward covers the weed's ass and never says anything negative about him. If you listen to the man talk, you have to wonder how he was part of the crack team that broke the story (he should like a moron, he is slow as if he has had a stroke, but one wonders if he has always been this slow). They were "given" the story, they owe their source their reputations and their fortunes. Poppy was in the right place at the right time and he "salvaged the party" (only to have reagan still the post from him). Poppy has always been feared by the top party members, that's why he got VP and then Pres - he was actually a nobody and his personality sucks. Folks make fun of Kerry as having no "public persona" well poppy is a wet wash rag, link and lifeless in public, almost too feminine.

I fear they are uncovering all of the Watergate news as a smoke screen, to distract us from their own "gates" (Plame, Gannon, Election Fraud, Iraq) and to prove to the nation how they were so involved in saving our nation from the fraud of Nixon. How opportune would it be to let the world know that poppy saved us from the disgrace that was tricky dick and how he salvaged his party!

That's my fear. I could be way off base, but then again, can we put anything past this bunch?

I'll have that drink now! I toast you and all KOEBer's and all members of our blogworld knowns as DU! :toast:

482. Woodward is a bit of a mystery.
(He & Carl worked the Washington Post.)

He wrote a book on Iran-Contra that was pretty informative for its time - but not much came of it. When I read it, I wondered if Bill Casey was Deep Throat. But, alas, he's dead, and he ain't the one.

It would be like Poppy to play both sides of the fence. I've been reading Kitty Kelley's book, and am up to the part about Poppy and the post-Watergate years. He really thought that his loyalty to the party would have made him Ford's choice for VP (not Rockefeller). It was only right before Nixon resigned that Poppy wrote him a letter, urging him to resign "for the good of the nation." Kitty's observations were "too little, too late" - and typical Poppy, playing both sides of the fence, hoping to profit from it.

Then Ford appointed Poppy to the CIA. And when Carter won the election, he was pissed that he wasn't going to stay on. Jimmy made some snarky comment about Poppy's recommendations, saying that he didn't think it was important, since Poppy would probably be president by then and could handle things himself.

But, back to Woodward. He's apparently a Republican. Hard to believe, but true. And he has been remarkably restrained dealing with the shrub. Maybe loyalty has a price.

493. Nixon's secretary did die recently. As did Fred LaRue, the
bag man. Nixon's secretary was devoted to him and, if I am not mistaken, she actually accidently "erased" tapes that protected him. Even if Sunday's news reveals she was "deep throat" I wouldn't be surprised, she will be just another convenient fall guy. Or maybe they will say that she gave the info to poppy, who out of love and respect for the woman that loved our nation above all else, protected her identity until her death, as promised. All of the watergate news is much too convenient for me. Something is up. Will they try to make themselves the heros of watergate and distract us from the crimes of this admin? Poppy may have an ego, but his drive to control overrides his ego. He hated the Reagans, but you would never know it from his public tears. Rove is not the mastermind, poppy is and has been since the 60's. (imho)

507. I suspect it was her.
If she loved Nixon as much as they say she did, but loved her country more, she might have wanted to see him out of office while never allowing the smoking gun (the 5 minutes she admits to erasing and the other 13 that no one will admit to erasing) to ever see the light of day. Perhaps she thought she would be sparing the family further humilation while protecting the country that she loved to serve.

Being that close to the family ( She was so close to Nixon and his wife Pat that the president one time said, "Rose ... is as close to us as family."), she would be in a position to know many secrets not just political ones, right? Wonder what else she knew and never spoke?

What do they have on him? His book on the weed and his protection of him every time interviewed is just too damned disturbing and it gave the weed such credibility. 534. Well, it could very well be a case of what they have against him
Poppy had all those G-Men that could dig up all the dirt they wanted. Goodness knows, Hoover taught them how to do it very well.

Perhaps there was a skeleton in his closet that they are holding over his head. A man like that had nothing more important than his journalistic integrity and personal reputation. He made his big bones on Watergate but could have been hushed about any further revelations about anybody involved in the GHWB family or circle.

Poppy was VERY outspoken in his support for Nixon in public. I don't think I ever remember hearing him speak publicly about Watergate at all (although I imagine that he had/did).

Woods would have had unquestioned access to anything because she was trusted by Nixon. And Linda Lovelace was a woman -- thus the use of that code name maybe?

It will be interesting if and when they finally let this cat out of the bag, won't it?

a bit on the "safe and boring" side, but for what we needed (tie for a man we didn't know who needed to wear the tie in a pretty conventional work environment), I thought it was a good fit. That's why it was a popular consensus choice in the polls, I think, although the stripey tie might have done well, too.

clear that was a consensus choice. But a lot of the people who voted for it didn't do so because it was their number one favorite tie; it was simply the one the most people could agree on. That means there are people out there who weren't that fond of it. For what it's worth, every tie suggestion I put forth got shot down in about ten seconds. Yours won the poll and would have been ordered if we'd gotten our ducks in a row in time, so you're way ahead of my tie choices any day of the week.

Please, go get another drink and chill, hon! No one said it was awful and no one set out to hurt anyone's feelings. I simply never liked the tie and the world would be awfully boring if everyone liked the exact same things! Diversity is harmonic!

I expect some young recruits to talk like that. But not the leadership. It's like hearing an IBM exec giving a press conference talking about how sexual harassment is great fun.

He's supposed to be setting the standard.

And I'm not appreciating the comments of the apologist being interviewed.

You need someone who'll do the job because it's got to be done, not because it's fun. Someone who kills for the fun of it is a loose cannon, not a tool that can be controlled, IMHO.

338. notice KO had the 'You Can't Handle the Truth' sign behind him when
he started that story. That Jack Nicholson speech in 'A Few Good Men' was chilling. This real general defending the one who said 'killing was fun' is not doing a very good job of covering his buddy's ass. He just said the quote was something he would say to young recruits ' to pump them up' like before a football game. I think the killing as sport reference is one of the problems with the original statement, so great, use it again as an explanation.

301. It's like a video game -- entertainment, like old Rome's Coliseum "games"
Horrible, horrible -- but not nearly enough outrage.

In today's paper here inthe Boston area there was a story of a clerk in an all-night store killed. He was Egyptian and must have looked like an "Arab." He was killed so brutally that even the print media were holding back on the gory details. He was described as a kind, sweet person who sent most of his salary back to his mother in Egypt and even wanted to live-catch and release rather than kill a mouse found in the store.

The story said nothing about the possibility that this extremely brutal murder was a hate crime because of his being an AY-RAB. But I believe that is a good possibility. Whoever killed hiim really, really enjoyed doing it. That's not like a simple robbery/murder.

The sickness, the loss of humanity and spirit, pervades this society from the top down. Not to depress you any further, but did you see this on the home page:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1564860 (Thread title: "The conversion of a moderate")
It really makes the point of how this country has changed and how steep the uphill fight is going to be. But it also makes it clear how high the stakes are andhow important it is that we not give up.

(Since I can only post a few times because of the extreme slowness of the loading, I guess they'll tend to be long and irrelevant. Sorry.)

Why are they here, of all places? Because it's not A&M, where Poppy's library is located? But why this state? It's a puzzlement.

The Lone Star State, or at least the Hill Country part, will indeed be lovely in about 1-1.5 months from now when the bluebonnets bloom.

Let them taint! Then, maybe, I'll finally see these ripped off of cars: along with these:

Still, why are W&B here?

I'll have to ponder this some more tomorrow. I've got to get some sleep. Early morning baseball tryouts tomorrow! For the son who's been laid up with the flu all this week and is still as weak as a baby. Oh, this ought to be a good tryout. :eyes:

263. Article about Poppy as Deep Throat here:
http://www.pnionline.com/dnblog/extra/

A snippet:

"From ADRIAN HAVILL: In my 1993 biography of Woodward and Bernstein, "Deep Truth," I argued that Deep Throat had to be a composite portrayal. No more. Yesterday's unveiling of Woodstein's notes at the University of Texas is an appropriate time to let Poynter's readers know -- based on recent events and my own research at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland -- who I believe DT is and why. He's not one of the nearly 100 suspects who've already been named -- either by the University of Illinois investigative team or dozens of other Watergate scholars and experts.

Certainly nearly everyone who reads Poynter was mystified when George W. Bush -- a President who arguably hates the press -- gave Bob Woodward seven hours of interviews which became the core of two best-selling and largely laudatory books. He also urged his cabinet to cooperate with Woodward and many did.

The explanation: George Herbert Walker Bush, the president's father, is Deep Throat."

213. Hi KOEBers - I'm here (late) with info re SPEEDING UP THREAD LOADING
I probably have the slowest connection of anybody here, and I can no longer handle the full KOEB threads. Freezes my computer. For people like me, I wondered if there might be some way to counter this. So, today I asked Skinner for info on what slowed down long threads the most (see my post to him below). His reply:

A couple suggestions.

You should go into your preferences and change a few things. Two functions that are particularly helpful are the following:
- Set "Display signatures?" to "no"
- Set "Hide avatars and other images?" to "yes"
That will get rid of a lot of the graphical embellishments.
You can also view forums in collapsed threads mode. There is a link in the top left corner of any forum that says Expand Threads or Collapse Threads.

High numbers of posts are the thing that slows down a thread the most. You can get around this a little by viewing in single-post mode, but it is not a perfect solution. Unfortunately, we haven't come up with a good solution to this problem.

---------------
In case you wondered, here's my post that he was replying to:

I'd like some general info about how to speed up thread loading

Lately some of the threads I'm in got quite long and also have many emoticons -- both the DU ones and imported ones -- and some pictures. I have a slow dialup and it quickly gets to thepoint where my system cannot handle these threads. I then get computer freezes and have to reboot repeatedly, and finally I cannot open the "view all" and see anything at all. This happened to me most recently last night, after the software upgrades, so it is still an issue.

What I would like to know is how much the various kinds of emoticons (imported vs DU ones, animated vs. still) and jpg files slow down thread loading. Is it significant? If there are, say, 10 animated emoticons in a post, will it affect thread loading much? If we know what things are the biggest time-takers, we can try to slim those down.

Also, does each additional post, even if only a few words with no text, significantly slow a thread? Can you give me an idea of what slows threads more, high numbers of posts (with or without message text) or added emoticons and pictures?

I think a lot of DU people would benefit from some info on this, al the moreso as there are more and more eager posters. Maybe you have already written something that you could repost? Specificity would help, as then we can strategize more easily. Something like a scale of 1 to 5 or something for what things slow down threads the most?

Thanks!

313. Hello Sparky, the KOEB ladies treating you right this evening?
And congrats on passing your 500th post!

It's taken until now to actually answer your post. Isn't that sad?
Turning off sigs and pictures/avatars helps a bit, but it's still damn slow. I don't see the "compress thread" button Skinner mentioned in his tips list. Maybe he means "printer friendly format"? I wouldn't have thought so. If I get desperate enough I might try it.

I noticed your name being mentioned in the same post with the word "bodice" -- a new KOEB legend is born! I know you're tough, you can take it!

I wonder what he does with all his prizes? Sponge Bob was a good one considering the ludicracy of the whole issue. I mean, I never thought a whole lot about Sponge Bob. I thought it was a weird character, but kids liked him. The whole homosexual issue is just bizarre beyond words. Don't these people have anything better to do?

305. Actually, they would have something better to do if they
used the good part of their minds and stopped seeing homosexuals behind every ink spot.

They could raise money to feed the poor.
They could provide free daycare to struggling single mothers who, btw, opted to KEEP their babies, instead of aborting them.
They could actually READ the New Testament and the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes to understand what Jesus REALLY was about.

But, no. Alas, they want to worry about boobies and alleged gay cartoon characters and stupid shit like that.

So a friend of mine works at a local law firm. Her boss is a big ol' liberal and very nice. He used his plane to fly some Iraqis Americans from here to Nashville to go vote. And Countdown actually called him and was going to interview him about it, but he got bumped because of the pope story. Isn't that wild? It's like seven degrees of Countdown or something.

I'm just a regular 4th grade teacher at a public school in a suburb of Detroit. Do you have any fellow teachers that understand what is going on? As far as the political climate...there is about a 50/50 split over the election. Surprisingly, many of the people that I work with have undergone FAUX implantation :scared:

Although many despise **, most do not believe that fraud took place in this past election.

And she's well...a bit of a dull bulb herself in many ways...very self-interested. What I've mostly found is people who don't like the dimwit, but have no idea about the depth of the agenda, and no idea there was any fraud involved in the election. Now you tell me. How could it not occur to people that there was a problem , when they all know they voted for Kerry, and they know so many of their relatives and friends did, and yet he "lost". Why is it that some people can't put two and two together. And they're supposed to be educators? Arghh....drives me nut, but I will keep patiently pursuing my goal of convincing everyone that * is a fraud and a criminal.

This is how I feel sometimes!

402. 385 posts since 7:00 pm. Whew, ladies, you're wearing me out ...
and I'm just a drive-by fragrance aficionado. Whatever could you be talking about -- perchance anything related to KO winning the Pulitzer (as well as Blackwell's "best tied" list) by elevating the language of election theft and election justice once more -- by raising his voice, not lowering it. The swooning you'll hear then will come from all of us, but it will be sighs of relief that the Fourth Estate -- in all its old and new forms -- is finally here in strength to help save the union.

For a while, Keith was a very lonely voice in the corporate media deaf-mute wilderness of this election theft story. After several months of owning the story, KO is finally beginning to get company among his hoary brethren in the Washington Post, the Miami Herald, the San Francisco Chronicle and the New York Times -- to name a few. And KO knows better than any of us that your competitors do not jump into covering a "dead story" if there's no there there. This venerable DU thread -- this fractal universe of highly sentient strengths, scented with poetry -- talking election theft and election justice -- helping each other understand, combat and overcome this coup -- and clowning and flirting all along the way. We're the there they're looking for and that Keith found a while back now, right here. It's good to remember, in the midst of this roaring river of estrogen-sweetened hero worship, that we are the ones we have been waiting for -- all of us.

Time to head on down the road. Nice to know there's so much fragrant energy around this bright-eyed mob of DUers, as we tie one on and dance the communal two-step toward taking our country back. Have a sunny weekend. Peace, y'all.

418. OK, I want to hear more about what Steph said about us
Upthread there was some discussion of how Stephanie had actually read posts from our thread on the air. There was a link to an early Jan thread where this was mentioned -- mostly about KO's attire and the floaty hearts -- but apparently she did it again today.

What was she saying? And if SHE'S reading us, who else is? Flyarm said she'd bet the farm that KO's reading these threads.

Sorry I could only post a few times tonight. I came late (8:45), and by then the thread was more than my internet connection and cranky old computer could handle.

Good thread tonight, I thought. Heading toward 400 posts last time I looked. We might at some point have to ask for the number of posts of just a few words be cut back, since Skinner says it's the number of posts that make a thread load slowly. (See his tips on thread loading speedup in my post upthread.)

Anyway, I'm dying to know what Stephanie said about us and I hope somebody is still around to explain it more.

or have you passed beyond that point? You are actually drinking the vodka, right? Instead of going for the (bleeurgh) "sherry" option? 'Cause that really will kill you dead very fast. At least the drinking way, you'll probably puke before ingesting a deadly amount.

564. Just the tail?
One of mine (Oreo) sprawls across the monitor, butt-side facing me... and she drapes her hind legs across the screen. Very attractive.

And my guy (Roo) is constantly walking on the keys. I put a stop to that, and he just reached over and swatted several papers and books to the floor. "Mom, get that crap out of here - I want to sit down."

Binky sometimes comes up for a combing, but usually just stays nearby at my feet. She is my loyal baby.

Keith, I hope you like cats. :loveya:

She's since passed on to her reward, as have most of Mary's cats, but she was a sweetie. She also liked to do her metronome-tail act on the TV set. One of the other cats liked to sleep on the tops of doors so you always had to check a door before you moved it!

557. ROTHFLMO!!! Naw, we deserve the best. But I do think that
Stephanie's talking about the KOEB on the radio, including the bit about Botany's "restraining order," is really one big flirt with our Keef. Poor, poor Keef! We were guessing his staff was ragging him about these threads, but now he's going to be hearing about it EVERYWHERE!

No wonder he wore that ugly pale suit tonight. He could wear The Tie to reward us, but he can also wear The Suit to do the opposite. It's a subtle semaphoric communication system that only a truly brilliant, sensitive, politically progressive man who was manfully trying to hide his deep affection for us could have devised.

I do have to hand it to that Stephanie for teasing KO this way on air. Think about it! It's twisted, it's snarky, it's KOEB style all the way. The woman is a natural, it's good we made her an honorary member.

Thanks for the link to the discussion of our new famousness! What nice PR for the DU 2004 Election Forum! See, that's what they get for inviting us back. Virtue may be its own reward, but being mentioned on the radio is nice, too.

TO THE TIES THAT BIND!

422. Ladies -- should we consider breaking up the evening thread
after about 125-150 posts to make things a little easier on the dialup crowd? That would probably mean a two-part thread each night which could be confusing, but paging up and down these 350+ post monsters is confusing in its own right. Just something to mull over...

605. Well, if your misspellings are due to vodka...
Then it's time to switch to RUM!

Let me pour you one...

Yeah, I complain... I don't have cable, I don't have DSL.., I don't even have "water", I have a spring pump (ummm, best tasting water you've tasted!) that I have to keep "fixing"!

You'd think that ME, being a Tech Support Trainer (GEEK mentor), would want to live somewhere in the burbs or city where I could take advantage of all the latest and greatest innovations! BUT, here, in the middle of the woods, I can walk out on my deck (stark naked if I feel like it) and see lots of trees, hawks, wild turkeys, deer, herons, etc. etc.

So, on the one hand I could have fast internet and lots of tv channels; on the other hand I could have Mother Nature.....

SO, I admit that I have no right to complain. But I like doing it anyway!

It's fantastic that KO wore "the tie"!

Ya know, if it had been anyone else, I would have wondered if they were just "pandering." But from reading his blogs KO has always been straight-forward... even when he had to say things that he didn't think we would like to hear!

KO could just be the last bastion of Truth in this country!

It's good to know that he acknowledges his listeners who really want to know "what's going on"

OK, blame all misspellings on Bacardi....

621. This thread is a monument to the ages, or at least to KO and KOEB brew!
Edited on Sat Feb-05-05 10:15 PM by Nothing Without Hope
The length is too long -- and thus slow-loading -- for a regular KOEB format, and we'll doubtless be discussing how to best deal with that while preserving our openness and spontaneity. But for now, I'm just going to observe a quiet moment of mute awe:
:wow:

And the OTHER KOEB thread from the same day, from when Stephanie Miller was heard reading KOEB posts over the radio, is in ADDITION to this and is, in fact, STILL GROWING at over 150 posts:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=203&topic_id=316797&mesg_id=316797&page=

Ladies and gents of the KOEB, that is a HELLUVALOT of wit and wisdom for one day, even a special day!

It was also nice to have enough men in the conversation to dilute the estrogen fumes enough that the unaccustomed would not be scared off:
:nuke: :nuke: :scared: :nuke: :nuke:

Here's to the KOEB: TO THE TIES THAT BIND! :toast:

And here's for our Keef, the inspiration and excuse for all this fun, to tide him over until the Monday show thread: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:
