EMERGENCY ACTION ALERT: SHELLEY PLANS TO RESIGN
From: Mark Hull-Richter
Subject: EMERGENCY ACTION ALERT: SHELLEY PLANS TO RESIGN

Call his office and let him know that he CANNOT turn the Secretary of
State (CA) office over to ANYONE that Schwarzenegger appoints.

The charges against Shelley are absurd and ridiculously trivial at best
- some aides attended a political rally, frivolous charges that would
NEVER EVER be raised against a Republican, let alone force them to
resign.

Shelley has been the main bulwark in California against inroads from
the Republicans and crooked Registrars of Voters, like Riverside's
Michelle Townshead and LA County's Connie McCormack (who has let over a
million provisional and absentee ballots from the 11/2 election
languish in a wrehouse, uncounted, for no good reason), to force
unauditable, paperless Diebold and Sequoia electronic voting systems on
a gullible public.

Shelley plans to announce Friday that he will resign effective March 1.

Call him and tell him not to - this will be a complete disaster for
Democrats and fair elections in California. if there still is any such
thing. It will be the absolute end of democracy in this state.
