Odd words/prediction out of John McLaughlin today

Thought I'd pass this on as I caught it by chance (because like many here, I've long since given up listening to "the group" prattle on with the beltway drivel of the week).

Prior to his last commercial break, McLaughlin inserted a few comments seemingly from left field (paraphrasing):

He believes bush won Ohio by 70K votes

That bush's approval numbers are very low

He thinks that bush has "a glass jaw in politics"

Ok, odd enough. But after the break came predictions and his was that the Dems would take back the House in 2006.

Pretty odd. My read, since he began with "Ohio," is that this is yet another indication that we're still setting the agenda inside the beltway.

For all the media blather about happy Iraqi's giving us the blue finger, and talking up a "good old Soc. Sec. battle," the thing people there are really interested in (along with more and more of the nation) is that 2 elections have now been stolen and the stench of it is growing, not subsiding (like last time).

I usually can't stand more than a few minutes of McLaughlin's preening, but I wish I'd caught this. If even he is saying things like blivet** has a "glass jaw in politics" then the wind is indeed shifting and even the conservatives are being forced to admit it.
