Kerry Donates 1 Million to DNC; Rest May be used for 2008 Bid
Edited on Sat Feb-12-05 08:24 AM by Skinner
WASHINGTON - Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) is contributing $1 million to the Democratic National Committee (news - web sites) to support efforts by the next chairman, Howard Dean (news - web sites), in building grassroots support for the party at the state level.

"Join me with a contribution of your own to show the incoming DNC chair that you want to support organizing in your own community," Kerry wrote in an e-mail to about 3 million supporters on his e-mail list.

"A new DNC chair will be elected at the end of this week," Kerry wrote of his onetime political rival. "Let's make sure he has everything he needs to start strong."

Kerry said Democrats need to have strong organizations at the state, local and precinct levels. Republicans were very effective at grassroots organizing in the last election.

6. Don't chock it up to fear...

chock it up to good ole fashioned lack of backbone... my friend was in the court case in Ohio when the judge asked the Kerry lawyers if he would personally challenge the Ohio election returns.. the lawyers on Kerry's advice, boldly did not.. this was the moment that Kerry became persona non grata in my mind. period. end of story.

Kerry had his chance in history to have a backbone the same way Al Gore had his chance in history, to stand up for millions of disenfranchised Americans and he did not do it. It does not matter why.

Kerry will always be the candidate that did not fight election fraud.
And whatever backbone he once had to fight the vietnam war, is long since gone.

now, people like me have to work without a job to prove election fraud working till late hours of the evening.. thanks Kerry, thanks for your vote of no confidence in the citizens of America....

edwards, well I"m ambivalent.. I think he was never properly educated or given a chance to participate in this thing... we'll give him a chance this saturday and we'll see if he responds....

Disappointed in kerry from georgia.....

11. Kerry has always preferred to INVESTIGATE in privacy.
Don't be surprised if you find out at some point in the future that he HAS the smoking gun and is calling for criminal prosecution of those involved. Kerry heard his name on those Watergate tapes and KNOWS they are watching his EVERY move since then. He is dangerous to this administration, but he won't do ANYTHING until EVERY shred of evidence is in place and he has the quiet backing of BOTH thugs and Dem's!

4. HELL no
what are you talking about? Kerry has a GOOD chance in 2008, and i'd support him again if he did run. He was a great candidate; of course there were things i disliked about the way he ran his campaign, but those problems can be solved.

Besides, who else would you want? Ms. Clinton?

JOHN KERRY 2008

14. Yes, Hillary would stand a much better chance of succeeding...
...Kerry let his chance pass. There were not a few errors, there were many errors in the Kerry camp, but the biggest error that Kerry committed was to allow Bush to get away with everything including the failure to challenge the voting fraud in Ohio and the rest of the country.

3. I just donated--I wanted to party organization to KNOW the power
of the grassroots. Choosing Dean is a sign that they understand this power--we need to keep them on the same path--reinvigorating this party from the ground up.

5. They won't choose Dean until tomorrow
Tomorrow, or perhaps Friday, I will make my donation.

I'd still like to know what Kerry did with the money I donated to his legal fund - since he didn't use it.

8. He'd be better off giving more to the investigations
because if we can prove Ohio was stolen from him, or any of the other suspect states, he can be president now, whereas 2008 is a pipe dream.

9. Kerry 2008?
The only problem I have with this is re-hashing the swiftboatee BS. via our major news networks and the Hannity-Limbaugh slimebags.
