It's all about 3, stupid!
Simple math.

3 PERCENT: votes taken from Kerry

3 QUARTERS: Fraction of states involved

3 MILLION VOTES: Bush’s “mandate”

3 PERCENT: = (1.5 PERCENT + 1.5 PERCENT): Bush “mandate” votes that came in two waves (centered around 8:30 pm EST and 12:30am EST) on election night

3 PERCENT: Bush’s margin (in 2004 votes) over 2000

3 PERCENT = (6.0 PERCENT + 0.0 PERCENT)/2: Bush margin relative to 2000. (Half the states had a 6 percent margin, the other a zero percent margin. In each half 3 QUARTERS of the states had corrupted votes)

BTW did I mention:

3 NIGHTS prior to election night I had a dream in which

3 SIDES of a car (and the engine, of course) were stolen

Oh, by the way

0 PERCENT: Chance that Bush really won the election
