I still like Anwar, the music teacher, and he was good tonight, but not great -- he went to your daughter's high school you said? Scott, the weird kid, has a great voice and the stylists made him look a lot less like a serial killer then before. Also, poor David was not so good. Mario does need to lose the cap. He is a very confident performer though, consistantly good. Does remind me of Jai, LOL, although I get a straight vibe from Mario.

David ( the one whose teeth I'd like to lick) was flat throughout but he is usually really good, so it must have been nerves. I hope he recovers next time around.

Anwar did go to my daughter's high school. The whole school is talking about it, everyone's very excited, but since he graduated in 1997, and has a job teaching himself somewhere else, they probably won't be coming to our town with cameras to interview his fellow students. They'll be going to the school where he teaches music and interviewing his students most likely.

Scott does look like the local serial killer, no doubt. I hear that screechy violin music from the shower scene in Psycho whenever he is on, although it was toned down tonight as you said. 'Scott, you are scaring the people, they won't vote for you, lose the look from that scene in 'Full Metal Jacket', think warm and fuzzy.' He has a great voice though, lots of soul. And the story about his dad telling him he'd never add up to sh*t, really adds a human interest spin.

Constantine is way full of himself, but I liked his choice of one of my fave Seal songs. It'll be fun to see them pit the 'rockers' against each other, though no contest with Bo's voice. Bo just needs someone from wardrobe (or KOEB) to funkify his look.

Couldn't stand the rockabilly guy, name starts with J, or the cheezy Enrique Inglesias number that the other J guy did. Blonde 'Clay' Aiken guy needs to take it to Broadway (although the tracheotomy earns him props, they told him he'd never talk, dudette!). I like Nikko alot, he was smooooth at the audition. Hard to tell, he was first out which is always hard.

My daughter has such a crush on Mario. She was babysitting tonight to I taped it for her. She's watching it now. I'm going to go watch her kvell when Mario comes on.

February has been just awful for our church people, most of whom are old and in various stages of dying. And my mom isn't well, either. I am very much aware of mortality - and that gets discouraging at times.

Coming to the KOEB is the one true highlight of my day. It's a way to get connected with good people, to laugh, and enjoy life.
