1. WOW! I didn't realize so many were in the works
Once we have reasonably secure elections, we also need to start breaking the corporate/wealthy stranglhold on our elections. And CFR is a good place to start. If they hadn't watered down McCain/Feingold so much, we'd be better off today.

2. The best news is what Dean did for fundraising.
I think that freaked out the $ class.

3. Thanks for this, too, Wilms! (Great thread on Election Reform bills also!
We need a Constitutional Amendment banning all private money in political campaigns. Period. Enough! Fini!

(--committing say 1% of Fed budget to candidate access to voters, and taking back some of our public airwaves for political debate.)

After we get back our right to vote.

Personally, I think the BushCon Congress is about as likely to give us back our right to vote as Enron is to return the $10 billion it stole from California.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't be paying attention, though. Thanks for both threads!

(Restoring our right to vote is going to be a state by state, county by county, grass roots struggle--Congress ain't going to do it, is my opinion.)
