Sherole Eaton Fund She Stood Up for Us!

A fund has been established for Sherole Eaton, the Hocking County Election Worker Whistleblower that was recently fired for blowing the whistle when asked to help commit a felony in the 2004 election. In addition to being jobless Sherole is facing brain surgery and could really use support both monetarily and emotionally. Her surgery will be covered under her insurance, but she will be accumulating bills in association with her legal case.

Any money left over will go to The Disabled Voters of America.

Sherole’s son Michael is an accountant and will be administrating the account. The money donated will go toward medical, legal and some of Sherole’s household bills.

Up front costs will have to be paid by Sherole to the attorney representing her; such as: depositions, clerks, outside attorneys, meals, gas, phone bills, etc.

Sherole will be employable in approximately two months, and would appreciate any job offers you may have for her.

She is a wonderful lady, who deserves our support and recognition. She stood up for us.....now it is time to stand up for her.

1. I'd like to help and have some questions

I don't have much (if any) money to give, but would like to help spread the word to get her a job. Would you see if there's some info she'd be willing to have posted here about her experience, the types of jobs she'd consider, acceptable geographical areas, etc? Anything that would help us direct inquiries to the right people.

Also, it seems to me that folks who want to give money will want some sort of assurance that this is the real Sherole Eaton fund and that money will be used as you've indicated. An endorsement from Bob Fitrakis might help people trust it, for example.

Also, do you have a url for Disabled Voters of America? It would be important, I'm sure, for many DUers to be able to verify that this isn't one of the disability movement groups pushing DREs.

I appreciate your concerns and will forward this to Sherole so she can answer the questions. I am sure Bob can and will vouch for the authenticity, but will ask Sherole to make sure he is aware of the fund. Please keep Sherole in your thoughts as she has alot going on in her life right now.

3. This is so dispicable......First Andy Stephenson and now Sherole Eaton.

So many true patriots without the ability to afford their healthcare or insurance, and nobody seems to care. And there is true evil on the opposite side with them parading around and calling these people asking for help devoted scam artists.

Never before has the phrase "American" meant something more decisive. Never give up hope, donate where you can and help others who have vested their very sweat in blood into saving democracy.

The story about Eaton's latest detour was saddening....Blackwell is a truly disgusting monster of repulsiveness. :banghead: I can't believe he was once a democrat fighting for Civil Rights....

But, I do understand the apprehensiveness. Hopefully Bob will post the fund on his site or give mention to it, so that people will know it is legitimate. Sherole does still have insurance as the BOE made her termination effective 6/30/05, but I am sure will have associated costs that are not covered and as we all know, will have plenty of attorney fees, etc., let alone needs money to live on.

She is a true heroine and needs to be treated as such instead of dealing with the emotional upheaval of being fired.
