in multiple ways. You won't BELIEVE the provisions of this bill - it's not only lids-off campaign contributions, it's letting bosses putting the squeeze on employees to contribute or vote for candidates right in their place of work, allowing use of non-federal funds for sample ballots and voter registration drives (and didn't they just run that one into the ground last time - pitch the Dem registrations if they're handed out at all).
In typical Orwellian fashion, the name chosen by its sponsors for this piece of corruption is "527 Fairness Act of 2005." Tom DeLay really likes it.
Come to the main thread on this and take a look at the provisions of this bill. There's also a link to facilitate emailing representatives to vote against it. Bob Ney (R-OH) just passed it out of the committee he chairs, so the next step is up to the full House.
This bill CANNOT be allowed to pass. And no wimped-out appeasing "compromises." It's monstrously corrupt.
