people who were disenfranchised that day--the majority, who voted overwhelmingly for John Kerry with, I believe, in numerous minds, the specific intention of ousting the Bush Cartel.
The facts are overwhelming that the majority was defrauded that day, and that we do not now have "consent of the governed" or a legitimate government.
We needn't bother with "die hard bush lovers" and other Koolaid drinkers. They are a minority--always have been, always will be.
We DO need to bother with Kerry voters who are in denial--because they have a very serious problem: they are much too dependent upon the corporate news monopolies for a sense of reality. These are the people who say, "Why isn't it in the news?" or "Why aren't the Democrats talking about it?"
We need to treat them gently, and help them get un-brainwashed, and detached from that lethal umbilical cord that the news monopolies provide to a false and illusionary "democracy."
What occurred that day, not just within the secret, proprietary programming code that tabulated all our votes (or didn't tabulate them), owned and controlled by Bush partisans, and not just in Ohio and Florida with massive violations of the Voting Rights Act, but what occurred that day among the news monopolies--their FALSIFICATION of the exit polls--will live in infamy as the darkest hour of modern journalism and the darkest day in American history.
THAT's what mesmerized people and prevented a national outcry and call for official investigation--the IMPRESSION given by the TV news monopolies that Bush had won the exit polls, too. I even believed it myself for a few hours. They CHANGED the exit polls--which Kerry won--"adjusted" them to fit the official tally--thus denying the American people major evidence of election fraud.
And with that, many Kerry voters resigned themselves to living in a "red-shifted" nation, and to possibly being able to fight the good fight and win NEXT TIME--but never realizing that the election result was false, and that there would never be a "next time" if the current election SYSTEM remained in place.
They do not know how completely they were lied to and manipulated. And, if they think about it, they don't know what to do about it now. They are demoralized and depressed, many of them. Others have been trying to rally the troops on different issues, but don't realize that they DON'T have to convince the majority of Americans on Iraq, on Social Security or the federal deficit or torture or any other matter; Americans are already convinced but were unable to get their will enforced, due to election fraud. ALL OF THESE NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. And they need to be directed to state/local election reform as priority #1 in recovering our country.
Forget Bushites! Their minority views get trumpeted far, far beyond the minority of the population that they represent. And they are not convincible. They are crazy in the head, most of them. Don't be fooled by the TRUMPET (the news monopolies). You do not have to convince crazy Bushites!
Concentrate on Kerry voters--and I mean Republicans, too, because I believe that lots of Republicans voted for Kerry and were disenfranchised on 11/2. New voters, independents, and Nader voters all voted for Kerry in large numbers--along with traditional Democrats and Gore 2000 voters.
These are the ones who need to be helped, inspired and activated.
