Twisted Election Idea
Forget the all volunteer army. Forget the draft. Imagine an all elected military. Who would you vote to send to war?

(I think this was actually done in colonial times)

1. I think they elected the officers.
But if are going to elect the enlistees, well, there are a number of chickenhawks with high name recognition.
