BUSH'S SUPREME COURT NOMINEE
Confirmation Path May Run Through Florida
Roberts' low-profile role as an advisor to Republicans during the 2000 presidential recount fight is likely to be closely scrutinized.

By Peter Wallsten, Times Staff Writer

WASHINGTON — As the 2000 presidential recount battle raged in Florida, a Washington lawyer named John G. Roberts Jr. traveled to Tallahassee, the state capital, to dispense legal advice.

He operated in the shadows at least some of those 37 days, never signing a legal brief and rarely making an appearance at the makeshift headquarters for George W. Bush's legal team.

3. The short, happy career of Peter Wallsten, LAT. Great Article
Now will they follow through. This is a first rate post because it (a) provides credible information and (b) is another tantilizing hint that CM (corporate media) may do its job. My theory is that they're doing a Nixon (get Cheney to resign, put an amiable stooge in, and get Bush to leave, stooge becomes president). The election fraud story of 2000 is bullet proof--we won numerically, and at least 50,000 black Floridians who were registered were removed from the voter lists. No doubt about it.

As per the usual pattern, this will be another advanture in "Short Attention Span Theater."
