Just received word Sherole Eaton's Daughter in Hospital with
aneurysm. Sherole is on her way to the hospital. Details are sketchy, but they believe the aneurysm is in her brain and has ruptured. This is her eldest daughter, Kim, 45, who resides in Columbus. I received the information directly from Sherole's neice which will be accompanying her to the hospital.

Sherole's anuerysm surgery is scheduled for Wednesday at the same hospital. For those unfamiliar with aneurysms, please visit: Brain Aneurysm Foundation http://www.bafound.org/info/index.php

One of the causes of aneurysms is an increase in blood pressure as a result of stress in addition to familial tendencies.

Please keep them in thoughts and prayers.

2. My S.O. survived one about 4 years ago.
If she's made it to the hospital, that's good news. They've made amazing progress in this area. I will think good thoughts for her and hope she recovers fully.

4. Update 9:47 pm EST
The aneurysm is bleeding, but they have not located it yet. They will do an angiogram in the morning, then hopefully, place a coil in it.

7. Update received from Sherole's neice
From Sherole's neice:

"I want to let everyone know that Kim, Sherole's daughter is in the neuro-critical care unit at Riverside Hospital. There is a 'bleed' in her brain, but at this time they don't know where it is located. If the bleed doesn't worsen during the night, they're going to wait until morning to do an an angiogram (sp?) to locate the bleed and probably then perform the 'coiling' surgery, the same surgery Sherole is having done on Wednesday. Kim has a headache and they're controling it with medication. Kim's spirits are good, although she's, of course anxious about the proceedure.

After the initial shock and fear, Sherole is doing ok. She packed a bag and will probably stay in Cols. until her surgery on Wed. I think this is good, because the neurologist told Kim she could have had this aneurysm for some time and recent stress could have caused the bleed. We all know what stress Sherole has been under, so both she and Kim are safer where they are.

I called many of Sherole's friends last night so please if anyone knows her friends, call them and give them this information. I will probably go back to sleep in the morning after the boys go to school.

The neuro-nurse told Sherole she will get a call in the morning between 6 & 7 no matter what happens tonight, this is their policy, just to update them. Of course, should anything happen during the night they will call her."

Edited to remove personal information.

Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

9. Update Wednesday August 31st
Details sketchy, but Kim had to be rushed into surgery during the angiogram yesterday. Unknown if they took care of the aneurysm or not, but it appears the surgery was because "they tore some flesh in an artery and had to repair it"

Sherole's surgery is today - please keep both in your thoughts and prayers.

10. Update Wednesday 8/31/05 3:00 EST
Just received an unofficial report that Sherole's aneurysm surgery went well and she is in recovery. They placed 3 coils in the aneurysm.

Her daughter, Kim's aneurysm was located in the carotid artery during the angiogram. It is unknown by my source if they were able to place the coil during the angiogram. They accidentally poked through an artery during the procedure and had to have surgery to repair the tear. The artery tear was not discovered until after the angiogram when they could not obtain a pulse in her leg.

Please continue sending your special thoughts and prayers throughout their recovery periods.
