1. I wish people would stop with the constant referral to Watergate

it cheapens their own arguments. The two have nothing in common and frankly there should be a corollary to Godwin's Law that states:

The more any scandal begins to infuriate the Democratic Party of the U.S. the sooner the Watergate scandal will be invoked.

It's pathetic and it doesn't help to raise awareness about the issue.

Both Watergate and the theft of the 2004 election involved Republican Presidents who were trying to accumulate vast amounts of power into their own hands through illegal means. Why do you say that they have nothing in common?
