Bush approval rating at 40 percent

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush's vow to rebuild the Gulf Coast did little to help his standing with the public, only 40 percent of whom
now approve of his performance in office, according to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released Monday.

5. Theoretical Bottom

Amazing that 40% are that stupid but...there must be a theoretical bottom to approval ratings. For unemployement, some percentage of those categorized as "unemployed" do not want to work and will always be in that category. So the bottom is around 4 or 5%, I believe.

With Bush's approval rating, he could walk around naked all day and still have 30+% think he's a great leader and doing a great job.
