Election Reform Forum Folks: A race to keep an eye on... ??
Edited on Tue Mar-07-06 09:34 PM by IndyOp
MyDD <http://www.mydd.com/> is posting up-to-the-minute results of the Texas primary between Democratic incumbant Henry Cuellar and challenger Ciro Rodriguez. Because there is no Republican in this race, whoever wins the primary, wins the Congressional seat.

You may remember Cuellar from the State of the Union -- Cuellar shoved through the crowd; * held Cuellar's face in his hands. Right now the race is swinging hard for Cuellar, even after a good race and decent (but not great) polls for Rodriguez.

I have no evidence that suggests theft - in this day and age, I just assume theft and await evidence it did not happen.

Worth keeping an eye on...?

On Edit: RESULTS ARE FAR FROM FINAL as of 9:34 pm EST...

2. Highly likely. The presence of a reasonable explanation, does not make
alternative explanations untrue. There is *always* an explanation/excuse for why Dems keep losing, some make more sense than others. This does not mean that election fraud is not happening.

3. What did the pre-election polls say about the race?
Just because DUers favor Ciro doesn't mean that Texas democrats do.

For example, DUers seems to favor Boxer over Feinstein in CA, but every scientific approval poll I have seen has Feinstein with the same or better ratings. DUers probably give Lieberman 10% approval, but CT gives him pretty good ratings. DU dems aren't your average dems.

4. The most recent polls gave Ciro a slim majority - I think about 52%...
Again, as I said in my OP, I don't have evidence. Just watching. One thing I will be interested in is a large discrepancy between early voting and election day results -- especially if the early voting is on paper and the election was held on anything electronic.

Weirdness did happen in TX in 2004 --
