watch my race tomorrow, will ya?
well, i head out later today for the last push in the ill. 6th. i will stay at my sister's, get up before dawn to plant signs at polling places, and who knows what all. if i can get my wifi on my laptop straightened out before i go, i will post from the party.
the lack of ballot integrity is a real burden to a grassroots campaign. we have no one available to monitor the voting here, even if we could watch over vapor ballots. it is a democratic primary in a republican district. we will see if that means no one with the "keys to the machines" is interested in fixing the race. personally, i think that these "keys" are available for a price, and we know that the dccc candidate has the money to pay it.
it will be interesting to see.

4. i have this laptop, see
and oy. it is supposed to be mine. but the kids use it most of the time. but i have been using it while traveling around the district, since it has a gps. the damn thing has blown up, gotten a new mother board, processor, came back, and blew a hard drive. since our warranty was hardware only, we are on our own to track down all the drivers. (or pay $130 to have someone spend 15 minutes watching an install.) didn't seem like a big thing, but these laptops have much proprietary crap. got almost everything back, but still no wifi or sound. aargh.
i'm whipping the geek-child to try to get it up before i go. but, worst comes to worst, i got a feeling that between will pitt and kevin spidel, i can shove someone out of the way to post.

8. i'm actually in the 9th
jan schakowsky, one of the best dems on the planet, has no opponent. so i have been out working for cegelis.
i like zamora. although really, the only thing i have against laesch is that he is part of this whole "fighting dems" "band of brothers" (imho) bullshit. if they really were fighting vets, that would be fine. but most of the ones that have been recruited by the party are good soldiers, but sure not leaders.
