It's time to stop costing people with outrage over the fact your candidate lost. Everyone else has moved on, and join them or not.

So please, save your shit about "clean" as if you care about anything except costing your enemies time and money and legitimacy. You really have only one choice: unity or not, with "not" mean all sorts of false innuendo and accusation and contributing to the victory of an actual bushbot (not just some democrat who won't put up with any guff).

And if you aren't for the democratic nominee, you're for Roskam. Not for clean elections. Not even for a recount. For Roskam.

i need a break from du.

1. I had hit the wall over the Alito Confirmation....
with each setback...it does not get any easier. Taking a break for sanity's sake is a "must-do" for me. The library is my favorite place of refuge...and history is much easier to digest than current day reality.

2. I live for the fight.........
I dont feel as helpless, when I fight back.
I know I am part of the solution, when I fight back.
I am amoungst the best of friends, when I fight back.
This is no time to not give it my best, when I fight back.
I am Powerfull, when I fight back.
Power contests nothing, except when I fight back.

4. darkest before the dawn

Check out the MS Supreme Court case here: even without a shred of evidence of fraud or even the accusation, a new election can be ordered if the means of detecting the same have been hampered.

But yes, the winner take all systems encourage unethical behavior because the one vote that puts you over the top is intensely valuable. You might call the system not "winner take all" but "guaranteed disfranchisement" of the minority, even tho it garners up to 49.9% of the vote.

5. Please don't let a few jerks or trolls get you down.
Having votes counted honestly is what matters -- not that a Dem "won" and another conceded.
You're exactly right about voting "irregularities" undoubtedly torpedoing Duckworth in November.
She should seek an investigation into what happened.

6. she's got the dough, too.
or the rolodex of fat cats. they poured nearly a mil into that race, for what? really, till the "winners" realize that they have to fight for clean elections, we will get nowhere.
i guess i would never make it in politics. i would do the right thing. i wouldn't want to win at any cost. and how unbeatable would you be, if you stood up, and said, i won, but i don't want there to be any doubt. i want to make sure it was fair. so, count those votes again. the more i think about it, the more i think only a winner can crack it open.
a crazy idea, but i think it would work. or maybe i need some sleep.

8. If they are otherwise-rethug-leaning fat cats, they probably think
she'd be easier to defeat than Cegelis in November.

It certainly should be easier for a "winner" to expose fraud than for their opponent.
It would be worth the investment for Duckworth to do it now, rather than let it go and be blind-sided later on.
Is she putting her "victory" ahead of democratic principles? Looks that way, doesn't it.

Still, I've got to say that Cegelis conceding, in the face of all the "irregularities" really sucked.

10. Did I read $75,000? How about the 100 missing memory cards?
Too many scandals to just let that one go, I'd think.
Would a recount turn up much evidence? The problems sounded worse than that.

11. yup, $75,000 for a candidate
i think there is a citizen route of some sort, but i do not know what it is. there is a dupage ballot intitiative group that is reviewing things, but i think there were problems in cook. afaik, there is no one working here, which is pretty strange if you know your history. i am looking.

12. Ohio voters were never allowed anything approaching a decent recount.
But still information continues to surface about what went wrong.
Maybe a recount won't be needed to expose the truth.
Hoping for fraud exposure and justice in all Illinois Counties.
Thank you for your perseverance.
