Can we BE our own Paper Trail?

Please don't think I'm crazy but I can't sleep at night worrying about DIEBOLD.

I know we want a paper trail but what if we don't get one?

I am African American and I have worked in the polling places several times.

In my Polling Place, predominately African American, we would proudly wear a little Sticky with a Number on it (just like we have Bumper Stickers, we can have I JUST VOTED FOR STICKIES that could be picked up at Bumper Sticker locations/downloaded from websites like DU etc..

As soon as Democrats exit the polling location we can PASTE it on our chest and SHOW it to any so called "EXIT POLLSTER," or the WORLD, as we walk proudly to our car!

EXAMPLE: I just proudly voted for KERRY
Ask me Anything!
I am # 203

Note : Even if the numbers are not in order,it doesn't matter.
They need to know that we are on to them!

1. yes we can
Use something like a UPC bar code device so anybody can get a date time and record
on a few key votes .... and if @ the end of the day it does match the machines then
we have the smoking guns.

We can do it DU, keep those juices flowing, we can outsmart them.

I can see it now ~

HUGE publicity campaign ~

Last time DIEBOLD counted our votes, not this time!

2. The exit polls aren't the problem.
All paper/absentee ballots, and all ballots guarded around the clock by law enforcement and three randomly selected members of each party with a candidate in the race. The same thing for counting the ballots. So what if it takes a couple of weeks to get all the counting done? I'd rather wait than be cheated.

8. Excellent Question Fridays Child! Since we are brainstorming

we need suggestions.

I love the barcoding idea but it would have to be sqeaky clean to work effectively.

Any ideas anyone?

3. I know we have to make our private vote into a public display
Out fear that our will is not recognized, its a pathetic situation.

9. How can we make it a PUBLIC Display, that is what

we need to create.

A public relations campaign that reflects our TRUTH that unless WE make an effort to double check our own vote and proudly show people how we voted, we are letting Blackwell control the election.

Come on folks, get creative.

10. Bio degradable toilet paper campaign
rolled out throughout the city. Easy to do, cheap, can be done quickly at night or in daylight, while walking or out the window of a car, a major TP-ING campaign throughout the city will let you know who is in the majority in the city. Don't make it a Black and White issue, but a Democratic issue.

Just a crazy thought.

I don't want you to take this idea and do it, its just a crazy thought and should you get enough people involved to do it. I don't know nothing.

11. That is a crazy though

and thanks for the opportunity to clarify that my initial post was in no way meant for African Americans only.

I never meant to suggest that it be a B/W issue. I was simply giving my experience with MY Polling Place.

I was able to see the pride that my neighbors took in the voting process. They were proudly sticking their " I VOTED!" button on their chest.

That is what gave me the idea that it was NOT a B/W issue!

For ALL of us that are DEMOCRATS it is, and it should be, a WE ARE PROUD TO VOTE DEMOCRATIC issue.

We want to SHOW everyone that we don't trust the election process in America and want the World to know that we KNOW that our votes(White/Black/purple/green) did NOT count in the last selection.

12. I wish we knew the answer to that.
I tossed out the idea of concurrent elections, but know that would be an impossibility.
People signing affidavits outside of their polling place, attesting to the candidate they voted for? ... Who knows.
For it to carry *any* weight, it would have to be done en masse, with everyone participating.
At least, if we could get all of the Dems to take part, and then match the "official" Dem votes against the number submitting affidavits.

There must be a solution out there. You aren't the only one losing sleep.
