Its time to stop talking at people. Its time to listen. It is no longer time to take out ones frustrations out on fellow DUers.

Many DUers have been posting a storm up here at the ER Forum. There has been a lot of back and forth. A lot of attacks. There has been a complete degradation of the entire Election Reform Forum over the last 7 days. It is time to stop, and take a breath of fresh air.

I will not take part in any more threads on HR550. Not until some of you good people come to your senses and behave.

I would ask all ER forum peeps to go here and sign on to Wilms call for an end to the Flame wars.

5. Been here from the beginning of ER
And the rancor is not amusing. Nor very constructive.

The recent flair-up over 550, and just about every other hot breathing, was due mainly to personal reactions, eh?

Now, I've been in a few dust-ups here, but I finally learned, I think, to keep my personal side off the board. Notice I hardly joined in on the 550 bonfire? But I read about it. Folks, it wasn't pretty.

Whatever shall be shall be. BeFree.

7. Screaming at people doesn't accomplish much, huh?

9. Yes, but
.... neither does being a shrinking violet accomplish much.

Some people need to be screamed at, or, as I would put it, be shouted down.

But to witness the petty, personal attacks that had very little bearing on the issue, especially those from some of the so-called leaders, was demoralizing to the troops.

10. I was referring to the petty, personal attacks when I said screaming
at people doenst accomplish much. I am highly in favor of civil discourse where people directly address points with points and keep the attacks out of it.

8. ignore all infighting.
focus on issues, not people.

focus on building our movement, not breaking it down.

we're all on the same side.

Personally I have stayed out of the HR550 debate as much as possible.

One thing we know for sure, whether it passes or not, whether it is changed or not, it won't be the end of our fight. We have to stick together.
