The 2006 primary is just three weeks away. The county's new electronic voting machines are here and a done deal.
It's time for the skeptics, general grousers and other worriers over the future of the democratic process in the county to get on with the campaigning for their favorite candidates.
In three weeks, regardless of the vaguely disguised outrage of those who want a return to paper ballots or retention of the lever-operated voting machines, the chips -- this time the votes -- are going to fall as they may.
And here's a heads up -- there more than likely will be discrepancies when the final votes are tallied the night of May 16. There always are.

ILL-FOUNDED???? What snake pit has this guy been living in lately? Who said they were ill-founded? Just more eds like him, relying on other eds like him, none of whom in all likelihood have bothered to investigate even the smallest complaint.
