GUAM: Election Eruption in Superior Court (still fighting over primaries)

Will there be an election on November 7? It's a question that's been buzzing around in the community as the Guam Election Commission has been bombarded with election challenges since the September 2 primary. Late Monday afternoon the attorneys for senatorial candidates Robert Benavente and Trini Torres, along with Republican voters Frank Cruz, Peter San Nicolas and James McDonald, asked the court that a judgment be issued immediately for a new primary election.

Yelling obscenities and saying they didn't care if they were arrested all in the fight for democracy, those in attendance in Superior Court Judge Arthur Barcinas' courtroom erupted in an emotional uproar. Two ex-parte motions were filed with the Superior Court, the Guam Election Commission filed a motion to disqualify the judge's questioning his competency to hear the case.
