Is Rush Holt ignoring Clint Curtis?
Forgive me if I'm missing it but Google is not helping me find Rush Holt even mentioning Clint Curtis. I found a few times he's mentioned in the press about the "situation" in Florida but seems to be only mentioning FL13. if someone has heard him talk about Clint or the others who are contesting Florida races, please let me know. a link to document it would be peachy.

thanks
gb

1. Here's some info for you, Gary...

Just a bit more on that, in this BRAD BLOG article from last week:
http://www.bradblog.com/?p=3986

Quotes in the piece based on my conversations to that effect with Holt's office.

Hope it helps.

Brad

from Brad Blog:

In a comment sent to The BRAD BLOG last night from Holt's office in reply to the Curtis statement, the office says Holt's actions in the House "will focus on Christine Jennings and FL-13, but the ruling will apply broadly." As well, they say that while Holt will be "championing the cause of anyone who has a pending legal or official house electoral contest, the genesis of his involvement is certainly with" Jennings and that he's "more able to attest to the merits of her case."

sounds a little strange. I mean, there's only 4 of them. Does it seem weird that one gets to be referred to by name and the other 3 are called "anyone who has a pending legal or official house electoral contest"

(thanks Brad, once again for the gazillionth time)

3. Actually...

There are 5 of them. 4 from Florida (natch) and 1 from Louisiana.

(And your welcome...for the gazillionth time ;-)

4. right...
i can see Holt not mentioning the LA race, since it's not directly related to evoting machines... but why he can't refer to the other 3 in FL by name, it's a little bothersome. i hope some of this is on CSPAN. My TiVo is hungry.

5. I think you are right
Holt seems to be a little too closed mouthed about things.

A bit worrisome to think that he will be relied upon to bring us "transparency" in elections. Tough job if you cannot be transparent in your own pronouncements.
