Fun Fact: Alberto Gonzales was SoS of Texas '97-'99
Alberto was SoS of Texas when Dubya was "re-elected by a landslide" in Nov. '98.

http://www.usdoj.gov/ag/aggonzalesbio.html

Alberto served as Texas' 100th Secretary of State from December 2, 1997 to January 10, 1999. Among his many duties as Secretary of State, Gonzales was a senior advisor to then Governor Bush, chief elections officer, and the Governor's lead liaison on Mexico and border issues.

2. "Chief elections officer"
I guess that's where they learned their trade. Is it possible that the good people of Texas did NOT vote for George?

3. Wrote the death penalty briefs
2-3 page documents that sent scores of people to their deaths. I don't think even a stay was ever issued, certainly no pardon or commutation. These people were disgusting when they were IN Texas. All the evidence was there. The media chose to ignore it.

10. One commuted...
Henry Lee Lucas. Bush must have respected a man with a bodycount nearly as lengthy as his own.

8. Well diva77, it really was not that fun for those of us who had to live with the reality of it.
esp those of us of hispanic background who were supposed to be happy that one of us was rising to such prominence. Scumbags come in all shapes and colors...bummer...
