Well, well, look who crawled out of the woodwork - good ol' R. Doug....
TUESDAY, FEB. 26, 4:00 pm —PUBLIC LECTURE: ELECTION ADMINISTRATION’S ROLE IN PRESERVING AND PROMOTING DEMOCRACY
Held at AU’s Hotel & Dixon Conference Center, Ballroom B. Reception & light refreshments follow lecture.
Featured speaker R. Doug Lewis is the Executive Director of the Election Center in Houston, TX. Lews has been referred to as the “voice of election administration” in America and is a very engaging speaker. He’s appeared on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC (including the Today Show) and was a regular on C-SPAN representing election administrators in the aftermath of Election 2000. Sponsored by the family of Charles Wesley Edwards, Sr. and the AU Election Administration program. Charles Wesley Edwards, Sr. was the AU Registrar for many years and is responsible for the admission of the first African-American students. His family has established an endowment in his name for use by the Election Administration program in educating the public about the democratic process

(I had this last night and let it go - I have a search tab for ol' R. Doug, even though he seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. But a hazard of dialup is that by the time I get to the stories I've loaded I have no idea what search got me there, and ol' R. Doug did not have top billing on this page.)

1. Yes, R. Doug has been quiet since his DUI/indecent exposure arrests surfaced.
I also think they've changed the name of the Election Center. R. Doug has also set up at least four other organizations (e.g., National Association of County Officials), all of whom play a role in election administration and all of whom are headquartered at his offices.

This fat fuck ought to be barbequed. If one person (not yet in prison) is responsible for the election situation we are in, it's Porky Lewis.

2. Thanks, I'll add a search tab on that.
Do you happen to know the names of the other organizations off the top of your head? (If not, I'll try to research it.)

3. He also set up the national Secretaries of State organization.
If you can get the mailing or street address for his pig sty in Houston and Google it, you would probably get the names of all the organizations.

4. Here's what I found at the same address
Edited on Wed Feb-27-08 07:48 PM by tbyg52
COUNCIL OF STATE GOVERNMENTS
(c/o WADE LITTRELL)
(per http://www.taxexemptworld.com/organization.asp?tn=1121294 )

Funny thing is, if you Google the name of the organization you get this:
http://www.csg.org/
which does not list the Houston address under its headquarters, nor any of its regional offices.

I found this on BBV (sorry, it turned up in a search for "Council of State Governments" plus part of the Houston address):
"See also: Council of State Governments. One of its principals was an original founder of The Election Center."

-------------------

I found a reference here:
http://209.85.207.104/search?q=cache:o1yxIgW8S_YJ:www.nased.org/ITA%2520Information/NASEDApprovedSystems1.03.pdf+%2212543+Westella%22+Suite+100+houston&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=12&gl=us
where they call themselves the "Voting Systems Secretariat" - scary, huh?
Edited to say: Well, that link doesn't work - a series of characters in it turned into a smiley. Oh well.....

-------------------

That's all I could find - anyone knows anything else I should be searching for that I'm not, please let me know! :hi:

5. Porky also set up Natl. Ass. of State Election Directors ...
... as well as the Election Center, Natl. Ass. of County Officials and Natl. Ass. of Secretaries of State.

For such a drunken and corpulent flasher, Porky sure gets around.
