... my first look at the national numbers (even knowing that several states and races are yet to be called) has a bit of "landslide denied" feel about it. It will be interesting to see the national picture play out in the next few days.

Unfortunately, my biggest fear re: our Tennessee elections has come to pass. Our legislature is now completely in the hands of the Republicans for the first time since Reconstruction (shades of the 2002 Georgia Republican "success"). With that shift in control, the Republicans will soon assume majority control of both our State Election Commission and all 95 of our county election commissions. Both of those facts place our Tennessee Voter Confidence Act (banning DREs and moving to paper ballots, opscan and mandatory random manual audits by 2010) in jeapardy this morning after.

There always seemed to be only one real reason why our opponents worked so hard for so long to delay the implementation of our TVCA bill until 2010, and it was to have the opportunity to influence one more election. It may, indeed, have.

Right now, I'd love to know (and will try to find out) just where we lost seats in the House and Senate. Down here in Maury county, we grabbed a Republican seat, so it didn't happen here. It would be very interesting to know where we lost our legislature and what the voting patterns looked like in those districts.

But regardless of the role that election fraud may (or may not) have played in our TN elections this fall, those of us who plan to stay in this state are faced with the prospect that our efforts to achieve real and lasting election integrity in Tennessee likely just got a lot harder. At the county and the state level. In that vein, I might make two (gloomy) predictions this morning that will be quick indicators of just how hard the rest of our road to trustworthy elections will be here in the Orange State.

If the legislature immediately opens up the TN Voter Confidence Act for amendments (or modifies any of its provisions)

AND

If the legislature replaces our "old fool" Secretary of State with our "young fool" (the current State Election Coordinator)

THEN

THEN ....

then, we will just have to work harder.

That's my view this morning. I awoke to a major (and much-needed) change in our national leadership, a blue shift in the US Congress that was much less robust than predicted, and a red veil over our own state legislature for the first time since the aftermath of the War of Northern Aggression.

May we continue to live in interesting times .... It still beats the alternative.

3. Yes, I'm beginning to smell a rat--that the machines were used on the lower level

offices, in particular Congress, also to shave Obama's mandate, and possibly on items like Prop 8 in California. It was the surgeon's knife vs. the meat clever: they didn't want to risk losing their election theft machines, to an outraged citizenry, by an outright reversal of Obama's win. But what I smell is that he actually won by a 15% to 20% margin--more than the 10% the preelection polls were predicting (these polls are poor at capturing new young voters), and not the mere 6% or so that has been reported.

Are you aware of the spectacular fight that Bill Hedrick is putting up in Orange County, in CA-44? He is within 4,000 or so votes. 100,000 provisional and mail-in votes have yet to be counted. And there is tight collusion going on between the Reg of Voters and the Puke candidate (Calvert).

Then there is Jim Martin in GA (against scumbag Bushwhack S. Chambliss), Al Franken in MN (against scumbag Bushwhack N. Coleman)--both Senate races, and I suspect quite a number of other TIGHT races, where the machines were programmed to steal it, because the Corpo/Fascists who own and control the code thought it would be close, but the overwhelming turnout and determination of the people is making that hard to do.

MN is doing a recount on Franken. GA will have a runoff (cuz they CAN'T do a recount there, cuz they've got no paper trail!).

But I wonder what's happening in other House races, and state offices, in places where Diebold & brethren rule.

You know, I think we need to do a USA map that shows where Obama won and where he didn't, and how the voting machines correlate to the Obama wins/losses (optiscans vs touchscreens). That might clarify things.

I predicted this strategy by the Corpo/Fascists: Tie Obama's hands with a Financial 9/11, significantly and fraudulently shave his mandate--but let him win, thus preserving their machines for future uses--and inflict him with a difficult, Puke/'Blue Dog'-infested Congress (like the present one--of the 10% approval rating). Create a logjam on any serious reform, and suffering and turmoil in the country, then come back in 2012 for the final fascist coup, to loot anything that remains to be looted.

Your story gave me chills. Puke machines elect Pukes, who lock in the machines. Puke machines put Pukes and 'Blue Dogs' in Congress who may sabotage election reform (as they did in this Congress)--possibly federalize and centralize everything, require electronic voting, but fail to require an audit that can detect fraud.

Many nightmares. Yours is one. I guess you just have to buckle down and consider yourself to be one of the Ohio '04's of this election, and never, never, NEVER give up.

You have a better national environment than the Ohio activists faced, back in '04. That's a plus. And the overall leftist trend, of empowerment of the people, is very, very strong--across South America, making inroads in Central America, and now here. EVERYTHING is better than it was in 2004.

We have not reached safe harbor yet, in any respect, in this country--though the People are finally activated, and things have greatly improved. That should help you.

Know that you are part of an overwhelming leftist trend. Your fascist dragons WILL fall. You just have a tougher situation, and a tougher job.
