Top Federal Election Reform Priorities
A draft summary of what I see as the most important, most doable, federal election reform priorities for 2009...

Okay, so I've been asked on several occasions, since the election last year, what I regard as the top priorities for election reform in the U.S. of A. In hopes of keeping it simple, stupid, at least until I hear opinions on these back from you folks, here is a summary list of the most important, and most eminently-doable-at-the-federal-level reforms as I see it...

1. Election Day as a national holiday

Top Federal Election Reform Priorities should be as Joe Biden says "run all federal elections the same way" this along with this Joe Bidens idea is very doable, and with little preparation.

No pre-election changes are needed in any counties that use any type of paper ballot.

In counties that use lever machines and DREs, the two or three Federal races (President, Representative, and possibly Senator) would be removed from the levers or DRE and placed on simple inexpensive paper ballots instead. This has been done before, successfully.


Poll workers would stay an hour or so longer to hand count the two or three races at the precinct and post the results prominently. The many poll workers currently being organized will add to the security of this process, reducing the potential for precinct-level fraud.

The manually-counted results would be the official counts and used for the official tally.

If tabulation machines are used to count the ballots, this manual audit would also allow us to evaluate the accuracy of the vote-tabulating machines, giving us a scientific study rather than theory and speculation.

We believe these emergency measures are necessary to eliminate doubt, lawsuits, and the subsequent national crisis. Please unite with us immediately toward this goal.

3. Not again, kster

Don't you have any sympathy for the machine heads? They like "theory and speculation" in the vote counting. And they get it with a machined vote.

Doing it your way would take out all the "theory and speculation" and make it all so cut and dry.

Anyway, if we really want it boring, we should have congress make all federal elections all paper, all the time.

If local yahoos want to vote for local yahoos on the yahoo voting machines, fine. But when it comes to a federally elected person voting on issues that mess with me, they should be beyond "theory and speculation".

4. When you make the "which machine is best to count ballots" into a

rat race, when and if you win the race you are still a rat. :rofl:

I'm with you we should have/DEMAND congress make all federal elections all paper, all the time.

Then all we have to do is watch the machine heads little rat race and take bets on which rat wins.

There are no winners in machined vote/counts PERIOD

5. Well, that's just it, isn't it?

Some people just love the rat race. They are players. It makes them feel important.

Their problem is that the head rats like bushco use them to their advantage, gaming the system and keeping it all under the table.

Under the table and away from prying eyes is just how the head rats stay ahead.

Its how bush became bushco. You know he was never really elected. But the machined vote got him to the top.

Any support for that system that put bush where he was enables bushco. People need to stop doing that. Eh?

6. I started researching

the secret vote counting machines, but, the crowd looked too anti Bush, I wasn't in it to prove whether or not Bush stole an election.

Our democracy is an illusion since they started using paperless lever machines in the early nineteen hundreds, then is when they were able to manipulate elections, but, with the levers they were only able to steal local elections from the people.

The 1960s brought in punch card voting and optical scan machines which were used to put the count in to the hands of a few. People were convinced that they didn't have to observe the count. From there election manipulation became easier, mostly local but still easier.

Once the Government had full control of the count, the rest is history, then early to mid 1990s its "back to the future" they are pushing paperless touchscreen voting across the country. Same as paperless levers but you are able to manipulate elections on a national scale.

Bush was the first presidential election to be stolen but the theft wasn't flawless because there were paper ballots that could be counted. The supreme court fixed that problem they stopped the people from hand counting the ballots.

Al Gore was Vice President at the time he had procedures that would have prevented the supreme court from stopping that hand count in Florida. The supreme court and Al Gore both knew that the hand count would never come close to what the machine count was in Florida.

A full HAND COUNT would have exposed the governments control of their own elections right then and there.

When an election is manipulated it isn't being stolen from Bush, Al Gore, Kerry, McCain or Obama its being stolen from the people no matter what side your on.

The 2000 election put electronic/mechanical vote counting under the spotlight, and thank (WHO EVER YOUR YOUR GOD IS) for the INTERNET because it exposed this corruption.

Look at Germany Hand Counted Paper Ballots at the Polling Place in 2009, only a matter of time for America to follow suit, I hope.
