Details on the event, here
http://www.americanprogressaction.org/events/2009/12/fairelections.htAs of today, the Fair Elections Now Act has 120 sponsors/co-sponsors in the House. Eleven more would constitute a majority of the Democratic caucus of the House - sufficient to convince Speaker Nancy Pelosi that the proposal is worth serious consideration and scheduling for action. Details here.
From Washington state, Reps Adam Smith and Jim McDermott have signed on as co-sponsors of the bill. What about the rest of them? Perhaps they need to hear more from grassroots constituents!
