This is a test of the emergency election integrity system -- All ER/DU hands on deck
Edited on Fri Dec-11-09 11:27 PM by Fly by night
To all DUers (ER forum or otherwise):

We here in Tennessee could really use some help in driving home the penultimate idiocy (or knavery) of our Republican Secretary of State Tre Hargett's continuing to obfuscate, hem and haw, shuck and jive, flip and flop, shuffle, shuffle, shuffle along --- do anything, that is, but implement our Tennessee Voter Confidence Act (which is supposed to bring us paper ballots/opscan/mandatory random manual audits) by the all-important 2010 election.

http://www.memphisflyer.com/JacksonBaker/archives/2009/12/09/tennessee-secretary-of-state-says-up-to-date-machines-available-for-tvca-but-costs-still-prohibitive

This link is to yet another story of obfuscation and intrigue. It also gives you a chance to pile on yourself and, in so doing, to help us mightily here. Let the politicos in the most populous city in our Orange state know just how you feel about free, fair and verifiable elections. As you will read (in the voluminous comments that already accompany that article), we are doing our bestest to rip several new orifices in Tennessee's election theft enabling version of Florida's Katherine Harris (if she had come back as a twinkly-eyed, goose-stepping, choir boy.)

Come on folks!! Help us continue to raise the volume to stop what appears to be facilitation for widespread election theft in Tennessee. In 2008, Republican gains in our state legislature defied all polling, all voter registration patterns and all prognostications made about our state's political leanings and traditions, inside and outside our boundaries. It also gave Republicans control of our legislature (and our election apparatus) for the first time in the past 140+ years.

Oh yeah, something smells down here in Dixie. Wonder why the TN Rethugs are fighting so hard to keep DREs in place for 2010? It's pretty damned obvious to us.

So, once again, do your Fly by night cousin (and his 6+ million neighbors in the Orange State) a favor: Pile on for proper elections. The ones we can count (and re-count) by hand.

Link, read and comment. We would really appreciate hearing from folks who visit this forum, for fair elections and old times' sake. Help us keep the TN Voter Confidence Act intact and on-track for 2010.

Visit the link and speak your small "d" mind, s'il vous plait. Much appreciated.

(Now to throw some more hickory on the stoves -- it's a two stove and a two big dogs night here in my already frozen holler. But refusing to sit still for election fraud is keeping me plenty warm right here, right now.)

Peace out

"It is the duty of the patriot to defend his country against its government." Thomas Paine

5. SOS Hargett painted into corner
he says he's found machines that even he approves of.

He raises the cost issue, but you have probably about $10 million left over.

That extra money can be used towards voting machine acceptance and testing, ballot programming and
ballot printing. I know because our state did that for the 2006 and I believe the 2008 election.

I believe Verified Voting has that information about how that was done in several states,
so that just needs to be presented to lawmakers.

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Tennessee could GIVE BACK the HAVA funds if they so hate to spend them.
