Florida needs our countries help! We still have electronic voting!
The state of Florida is still accepting electronic totals just like the touchscreens, according to our new paper ballow law. Our recount system was gutted from 1% to 1/2% after 100 years thus ensuring the candidate will pay for a recount and the ballots are NEVER COUNTED! Florida state law says the the "state will accept electronic totals".

Florida state law says the "ballot is to be counted in a recount situation only"

The audit system was gutted as well to check 1 or 2 percent of precincts, which does not even verify 50% of the vote! You DON'T KNOW IF IT'S CLEAN!!!

Florida is once again the state that will decide the 2012 election? Florida is once again the state that will help in the theft for whoever they want.

The nation needs to help Florida to stop this theft of our elections. There is no will in the state with the officials or activists. Once we got the ballot, to be counted in a recount situation only, the activists in Florida went home, or on to the next campaign.

Can the nation help Florida?

1. What would you suggest?
Unless it can be shown that federal voting laws are being violated, there isn't much that can be done for Florida.

Besides, it's the majority of Floridians who voted for the current governor and legislature, maybe you should take your plea to them first...but my guess is that they won't believe what you have to say, or even care!

2. The current gov is not the one who did this, it was CHarlie Crist. We need HR811 back for audits!
Rush Holt's federal bill HR811, was for a uniform, mandatory audit of 3% nationwide. It incurs no necessity for extra paid staff, and will verify 70% of the vote.

This is what we need, and this is how you help Florida.

THIS IS WHY WE GOT A GUTTED PAPER BALLOT BILL IN THE FIRST PLACE! HR811 was gaining steam...

What a shame. But this is what I suggest...a bill from another state for uniform federal audits of 3%.

Do you have a congresscritter that will sponsor a bill? Florida does not.

4. Such a bill would help Pennsylvania too along with the rest of the 25% of US voters that...

...currently are forced to vote on completely paperless Direct Recording Electronic voting machines. PA has an audit law, but 85% of the voters in our state have no paper ballot so there is nothing TO audit.

A shame? Yes, darn right it is a shame this bill was never passed. You can thank Democratic Leadership back in 2007, particularly Steny Hoyer, for ruining it. The 2009-2010 version of this bill, HR 2894, was the strongest version with the most diverse support but people didn't push hard enough.

When another presidential election goes funky, some will have only themselves to blame.

3. New York is in the same leaky boat. And we had Democrats in charge!

I'm sorry to say that my faith in our party when it comes to this issue is badly shaken.

Crist was one of those who favored dumping your DREs after the CD13 debacle. That was a pretty big deal. Paper ballot bait and switch is a near-universal problem in this country. No state does a proper audit. New Mexico comes closest though.

It's true that some FL Dems have been more apt to support and introduce effective state election audit legislation, but in general neither party has done much to address the e-vote-counting problem.

Have a look at this pathetic display:

Florida is not alone!
