District Challenges Vote Count
The London City School District has filed a court petition contesting the results of a school levy that lost by one vote.
Elections officials have counted the votes at least four times.
The petition filed yesterday in Madison County Common Pleas Court asks a judge to force a couple who voted twice to say how they voted on the issue. And, if they voted no, it asks the court to throw out the votes and declare the school issue passed by one vote.
Prosecutor Stephen Pronai says Wilbur and Rebecca France have admitted voting by absentee ballot, then at the polls on Election Day.
The school district's lawyer says Ohio law lets authorities compel a person to disclose how they voted when there is an allegation of fraud. Pronai says the grand jury will review the case next month and decide whether to charge the couple. http://www.onnnews.com/Global/story.asp?S=2613822&nav=LQlCTXE4 Hmmm..I wonder if this law applies to all
